Welcome to my AP teemo guide.

First off. I would like to point out some of the differences between AP and AD/AS teemo.

AP teemo has to go back to base more often because of higher need for mana, and less lifesteal posibilities. AP teemo is reliant on toxic shot to "last hit" minions easier.
AD/AS teemo has nowhere near as high harassment/burst capabilities, why? because AP teemo's blinding dart has its huge AP to buff it, Toxic dart has its huge AP to buff it, same to shroom. AD/AS teemo has the bonus that it does way more damage if theyre 1on1 with no retreating, and it has Lifesteal, and is less mana dependant.

Skills:
Camouflage
(Innate): If Teemo stands still for 4 seconds without taking damage, he becomes stealthed. (damage will break this effect). Moving or taking actions will break Teemo out of stealth.
You will probably not use this skill so much because you have to run to many of your kills anyway. We will be back on this later.

Blinding Dart
(Active): Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing magic damage to the target unit and causing all attacks to miss for the duration.
damage:90 / 140 / 190 / 240 / 300 (+.8 per ability power)
This is your burst spell, just shoot it when possible, youre NOT shooting because you want to blind your target, youre shooting because >thats gotta sting<.

Move Quick
(Toggle): Teemo scampers around, increasing his movement speed. Should Teemo be struck while Moving Quick, he gets knocked out of Move Quick.
This spell is extremely useful for, like said at camouflage, running to your kill. but since rank 5 is equal to 2x rank one, its not worth maxing before last.

Toxic Dart
(Toggle): Teemo scampers around, increasing his movement speed. Should Teemo be struck while Moving Quick, he gets knocked out of Move Quick.
Damage: 8 / 14 / 21 / 28 / 35 (+0.15 per ability power)
This is just what makes teemo so annoying to fight, it only gets worse when fighting AP teemo. Even with the slightly bad AP ratio, remember, its 5x 0.15(0.75). This is why you should shoot at them with auto attacks before blinding dart. REMEMBER that toxic dart actually deals beast amounts of damage at early game.

Noxious Trap
(Active): Teemo places a trap which detonates if an enemy steps on it, poisoning nearby enemies. Poisoned enemies take magic damage and have their movement speed slowed for 5 seconds. Maximum 15 traps. Traps last 10 minutes.
Magic Damage: 350 / 500 / 650 (+0.8 per ability power)
You should plant these whenever the cooldown is ready, use it at all ways in from the side of your lane, plant them all over the map! and as soon as you see someone nearby step in it. Move Quick-> run to them-> nuke to death. Even if you are being chased, if you make them run straight into your trap, you might turn the fight and get a kill rather than a death.


Items:
As soon as the game starts, buy an amplifying tome and a potion(health/mana whichever you prefer). And run to your lane. Why Mejai's before anything else? well either you come back to base because of death, or close to, or you come back when youve gotten noxious trap spell(which means you get hell lot of assists because your allies use them!).

after that you should start getting sorcerer's shoes, because youre a caster, not a dps or something else. in certain situations mercuries shoes or boots of swiftness may be more useful, but not mobility, thats overdoing it, your move quick is enough.

Then you may want some survivability, so go buy Rod of Ages, often its better to buy the wand first if you come to base before you got money for the whole item.

At this point of the game you start getting really annoying, whenever someone tries to gank you, they step in a trap, and either has to run off, or get killed by your burst. If the game keeps going much longer you should get your zhonya's ring.

If the game ACTUALLY gets to this point, your traps+dart wont be enough for kills, so get deathfire grasp.

Last item is Lich Bane, this actually makes even your move quick button a nuke.


Notes: You may prefer top/bottom lane rather than mid when playing AP teemo for several reasons.
even planting a trap in a completely random bush in the jungle can lead to a kill.
No youre not supposed to get all the kills, you get a huge load of assists from your team using your traps.

I have fought in bottom lane vs an AD/AS teemo. I dont have screenshots, but at the end of the game my team won. The scores were 7/4/10(kill/death/assist) for me, and his was 7/8/3.
