Hello there, this is my build for tank Mordekaiser. I've tried alot of different builds and finnaly got a conclussion, the best for Mordekaiser is to be a Tank. My build focus on stacking magic resist and armor. With this build you are gonna be able to solo a lane and feed with double kills like nothing! I'm not saying that you are going to be the best player on the game, but correctly used we can lead our team to victory without dying more than 1-3 times. Now, if you are wondering why stacking so much defense i have the answer for you: Tanking with Mordekaiser is more than just getting hitted while your teams win (or loses) teamfights, defense is for Children of the Grave, this unique ulti of his can turn the tides of teamfights by just focusing extreme dps like Master Yi, Warwick, etc while acelerating pushs with the ghost and get turrets alone without mucb effor onto it.
Quintessence & Seals of Fortitude: 143 Boost HP + Veteran's Scar + Doran's Shield. GREAT help all the game, allows to start on lvl 1 with 827 HP.No dodge seals, focusing on dodge on this build is usseles, if you are gonna tank with this build get a thornmail and get the hits happily, dont dodge them!
Marks of Insight: Magic penetration early game really helps. Against squishy champions Siphon of Destruction is your best harrasing tool.
Glyph of Shielding: Magic resist per lever is a really big help, thought at the start it doesnt help too much (doesnt care we have our Force of Nature to do the job) at late game watch your magic resist and its gonna be really really good :).
Core build items:
Doran's Shield: 120 HP, 8 Armor, 8 Health Regen/5sec. Perfect early game, if not skilled with Mordekaiser i recommend Regrowth pendant (15 health regen/5sec) to stay alive on the lane. If skilled with Mordekaiser Doran's Shield is the best starting Items you can get.
Force of Nature: 76 Magic Resist, 40 Health Regen/5sec 8% Movement SpeedUnique passive: resotores 0.35% of your max health each second. Perfect item for early game. I recommend going for 1 Regrowt pendant after doran and the cloak if you can afford it. NEVER get the cloak if you dont have boots already. This item is the most important on the build, its cheap (2610g), grants a huge amount of Magic resist, decent health regen speccialy on early game and a movemente speed boost of 8%, thought this is a tank build, 416 of movement speed is not bad!
Ninja Tabi: After our first Regrowth pendant go for boots, wait for Force of Nature to complete the item. Though i said on the rune build that Mordekaiser doesnt need dodge, i correct myself: Mordekaiser needs dodge on early game! Speccialy the 25 armor you get.
Sunfire Cape: 450 Health, 45 armor Passive: Deals 45 magic damage to all nearby enemies each second. This is our main tool on early game to creep and take down those squishy hard hiters of our lane! I just did this twice but if there is a jungler like Warwick or more than 2 dps on the enemy team get Thornmail instead (Sunfire for late game)
Guardian Angel: 68 Armor, 38 Magic resist Unique passive: Revives your champion upon death with 750 hp and 350 mana. This effect can ocur only once every 5 minutes. Not so important as it looks, Guardian Angel lost effectiveness after the nerf of the passive but still, the armor and magic resist are totally worth it as your fourth core item.
Thornmail: 100 Armor Unique passive: On being hit by standard atacks, return 30% of the damage taken as magic damage. Really effective against dps, get it if there is a strong dps carry on their team or 2 or more enemy dps.
Warmog Armor: +770 Health +30 Health Regen per 5 sec Passive: Permanently gain 3.6 Health and .5 Health Regen per 5 sec per minion kill. Champion kills grant 36 Health and 5 Health Regen per 5 sec. Bonuses cap at +450 Health, and +62.5 Health Regen per 5. Not really a fan of this item, but if you are not on troubles and you want more hp get this item, its gonna make you really hard to kill combined with the other tank items.
Force of Nature: 76 Magic Resist, 40 Health Regen/5sec 8% Movement SpeedUnique passive: resotores 0.35% of your max health each second. Yes you can get another if you want :). More magic resist and movement speed is perfect late game if you cant stand against champions like Ryze (really hard to die this way on late game but still) get another one. Another movement speed boost will take you to 440! Really hard to chase hehe. I even got 3 Forces of Nature once, ended something like 15/1 :).
Banshee Veil: +450 Health +400 Mana +57 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive: Blocks one negative spell every 30 seconds.
Abyssal Scepter: +70 Ability Power +57 Magic Resistance UNIQUE Aura: Reduces the Magic Resist of nearby enemy champions by 20. Recently tested this item as one of the optional items. Worked great to deal more damage with Children of the Grave. This is not a bad idea considering the magic resist and magic penetration plus.
Mace of Spades - On next hit, Mordekaiser swings his mace with such force that it echoes out, striking up to 3 additional nearby targets, dealing damage plus bonus damage. If the target is alone, the attack deals extra damage.

If the target is alone, 140/192.5/245/297.5/350 (+) damage is dealt instead.
Costs 25/32/39/46/53 Health
Creeping Death - Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally, increasing their armor and magic resistance and dealing damage per second to enemies in the cloud.
Unleashes a protective cloud of metal shards to surround an ally for 6 seconds, increasing their armor and magic resistance by 10/15/20/25/30 and dealing 24/38/52/66/80 (+0.2) magic damage per second to nearby enemies.
Costs 26/32/38/44/50 Health
Siphon of Destruction - Mordekaiser deals damage to enemies in a cone in front of him. For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs energy.
Mordekaiser damages enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing 65/105/145/185/225 (+0.6) magic damage.
For each unit hit, Mordekaiser's shield absorbs an additional 1/2/3/4/5 health.
Costs 24/36/48/60/72 Health
Children of the Grave - Mordekaiser curses an enemy, stealing a percent of their life initially and each second. If the target dies while the spell is active, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds.
Steals 24/29/34 (+0.04)% of target champion's maximum Health (half stolen initially and half over 10 seconds; deals Magic Damage).
If the target dies while cursed, their soul is enslaved and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds. Mordekaiser gains 20% of their ability power and attack damage, and the pet's stats are enhanced.
Pets can be controlled by holding the alt key and using the right mouse button.
Iron Man - 25% of the damage dealt from abilities is converted into a temporary shield, absorbing incoming damage.
This is by far the best build for Mordekaiser i've used, try and you wont regret it!
