I was just wondering, why didn't you list Thornmail as an option? I am by no means an expert on Galio. In fact, I really just started playing him. It just seems to me like it would be a good choice for a number of reasons. For one thing, the nasty amount of armor it grants makes up for mostly focusing on AP and MR in your build and allows you resistance against the AD champions on the enemy team. Not only this, but if you were up against an ADC, with your shield's heal and the massive armor you'd be getting from both the shield AND the Thornmail, you'd basically be healing off their attacks and reflecting damage back onto them. Not to mention, the resistance it gives and the damage it reflects make it seem like it would synergize greatly with your ultimate. I am by no means trying to undermine the validity of your build, but I was just wondering about your thoughts on this item for Galio. Cheers ^_^

One Question , is Galio one of you main champ ?
I think no , because if he is one of you mains than you should more play with his W .
You don't need much HP on him , more AP , his shield and you are not going down so easy .
Magic pen Rune becaus his Q has a good grounddamage . (Sry if my english is so bad , its not my first language. ^^)

This should not be a flame , only some ideas. :D

Have a nice day . ^^

any idea how to deal with akali at mid?

Bait her, when you feel she will jump on you (basically it is easy enough to predict, she will probably launch Mark of the Assassin before) pout your shield on, Q her and then ult. She cannot prevent you from doing it since she has no hard CC, her life should really be low after that and your Q almost back, so it depends if you feel confident enough to finish her off, otherwise, retreat with your E and slow her with Q again. you should not have lost lots HP.

The real problem is that her ult comes back more often than yours so as long as yours is not up, try to play safe, once you have your core item, you can farm easely with your skills, do not go in the middle of the creeps.

BTW thanks for the guide, I definitely adopted Galio as my main mid.

a question...

R reduce incoming attack and magic damage by 50%.

is it i take the 50% of raw damage?

or

50% of raw damage reduce again by our armor and magic resist.

The damage gets reduced by armor/MR and by 50%. The order in which the reductions are applied doesn't matter, as the resulting damage will be the same.

Nice guide, however, some of the written parts aren't updated for S4. Do you plan on updating? Or did you only plan on updating the cheat sheet and build order?

I do plan on updating the entire guide ASAP, however, I have at least 3 more guides I have to completely update for season 4, so it will take some time.

Indeed, Galio won't heal that much with spell vamp. Using his shield to heal is better. It heals insane amounts later in the game.
