Would it not be more beneficial to cast bulwark before idol of durand before engaging in a team fight? Bulwark , lash in ( if available) idol of durand. Or run in while casting bulwark and then idol / flash out. If the team is afraid to put dmg on you there going to go for your biggest dmg dealer while engaging. So it would be a good way to use it before entering, the cast ends and even with the reduced dmg you still have a good amount of life to keep fighting or back up and support.

I believe that Galio can dominate when laning with AP champs. Therefore, I agree most of your words in here. Sad to say, I don't have much chance of going mid (since they don't think Galio is the best mid). By the way, I have some thoughts. I am not sure if I am correct, but I would like to have some discussions for the following questions:

1. Is it better to build Abyssal Scepter as soon as possible? I personally think that it gives AP (about 100) and MR, which enables Galio to dominate AP champ more early. Also, it is much cheaper than other standard AP items (Deathcap, ROA....). Having this core item earlier than your oppoents (than their ROA, Deathcap...) would mean an advantage. What do you think about my (maybe silly) thought (implication: Abyssal Scepter is a core item)?

2. I find Galio is easy to have mana problems. Would Clarity (the one that adds mana) feasible for Galio? (I don't know why, blue always runs to others in the few gameplay VS human...><)

3. Would casting Q cancel the ult? If not, would it be possible to Ult-->Q to ensure a hit?

4. For the cons, i think Galio needs good skill shot ability (both Q and E).
