The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First and foremost thank you for your time. The reason I am making this guide is because some of the others are a little out of date (Avarice Blade does NOT stack). I generally feel that any time I think about changing lanes when facing a Champion, that I should give them a try myself. This guide will allow you to hit hard early game, and still hit hard late game; an issue I have seen that seems to plague many GPs.
The runes are straight forward and simple. Their whole reasoning is to allow you to hit hard early game. Later game they honestly will be obsolete; however, with out these runes early game you may miss out on MANY kills. Here are a couple different ideas that would still work well with this build:
9x Greater Mark of Desolation
9x Greater Seal of Alacrity
9x Greater Glyph of Alacrity
3x Greater Quintessence of Desolation
This is going to allow you to have runes that will boost your attack speed trough out the entire game and may make you feel like the investment is a better pay of as such. Even with these runes and selling your boots end game to build another Phantom Dancer, you are not going to reach to cap on attack speed. Also the armor pen will be amazing both early and late game.
9x Greater Mark of Furor
9x Greater Seal of Furor
9x Greater Glyph of Focus
3x Greater Quintessence of Furor
This is yet another one that will pay off late game. You will have 100% critical chance once your build is done, so why not reap the benefits of that and increase that damage even more?
Honestly this is the only mastery set up that I see fit. You will need some mana regen, and the bonus damage/attack speed/ect is a MUST!
The items again are straight forward and I even show you the order to buy them in if you are B'ing a lot. The only thing that could be changed is if the game is dragging on a bit and you have a stockpile of gold you could sell your Avarice Blade for another Blood Thirster and then your boots for another Phantom Dancer.
The only thing that some may find a bit odd is completely ignoring your Raise Moral. The reason behind this is you are going to be hitting so hard and focusing on not auto attacking champs, but instead using your Parrrley, that it will not matter. You could take one point early on maybe level 3-5 in order to help you melt down turrets a little faster; however, once you get the hang playing GP this way, there will be plenty of down time from the other team to hit the turrets that it will not make a difference.
Despite what you may be thinking these are not only escape skills, but chase skills as well. When you open up with a critical strike that drops half or your opponents life, they will run. Ghost to them even under a turret for the kill and then flash out. They will also help when you are stealing Red/Blue buff in the jungle to get to where you need to be faster. When you burn your ulti they will allow for you to hit Champions A LOT more than with out them. If there is one skill that I would trade out it would be Ghost for Clarity. The only reason you would need to do this is if you are not good at mana conservation. Getting Blue buff will prevent you from having a use for Clarity at all, and even with out Blue buff you will find you wont need it late game as much as Ghost.
In short this is a build that has proven itself to me in many games, and with a little practice I think you will be using this guide for yourself as well. Remember to try this build out before making a snap judgement.
