Introduction

! english isn't my national language, so forgive me my mistakes, pleas.
Gankplank is very useful champion in the team. He has great heal and damage, his ulti can slow enemy and hurt enemies during teamfight, stop invade your point and help capture strategy point when your big wave of creps is incoming.

Usually Gankplank who use brain is the best on the map and get the most point.

Him history

"Gangplank was born the son of the dread pirate captain Vincent the Shadow - one of the most wealthy and feared pirates in all of Blue Flame Island. One might think this would have spoiled the boy with a cushioned life of privilege, but the truth is quite the opposite. Growing up in the city of Bilgewater isn't easy; pirates are not known for their compassion, and that most certainly extends to their families. Vincent wanted his son to grow up tough and strong, so he was extremely hard on the young Gangplank. Even as a child, Gangplank was as mean as a snake and is said to have slept with his eyes open. As he grew, the young man rapidly became the most ruthless and feared pirate in all of Bilgewater, and his daddy was never more proud than on the day of his son's eighteenth birthday - when Gangplank stabbed his old man in the back and claimed the famed pirate ship, the Dead Pool, for his own.

The continent of Valoran, however, is a dangerous place for pirates; Gangplank could read the writing on the wall. The den of pirates known as Bilgewater would soon be pulled down by the undertow of Valoranian politics and the Institute of War. It was time for Bilgewater to have their own champion to represent them in the League of Legends, and who better than the fiercest pirate of them all? It is said that Gangplank has enough power and favor to claim the title of the Pirate King back home, but that he is simply biding his time and building his reputation as a champion before he returns to a life of piracy."

Two way to win

Two ways and two difrent builds.
First start with good armor penetration, second use critical chance to kill.

Both are good and cheap.

Runes

9xGreater Mark of Desolation + 3x Greater Quintessence of Desolation + Sunder (3 points) + Weapon Expertise + Cripple = 31 a. pen + 10 a.pen + 10% = true damage, because you reduce enemy have less than 34 p.def or 45 p.def when you use exhaust
When you are buing The Brutalizer, you get next 15 a.pen and next 5 a.pen after finish Youmuu's Ghostblade.

In late game when average champion have 100 p.armor (caster and dps have less, tank more), you deal 70% damage.

Second way is easier to calculate.
Weapon Expertise + Last Whisper = 50% armor penetration

If you fight vs heavy armor team, I advise you buying Last Whisper than The Brutalizer and Youmuu's Ghostblade. Of course it isn't bad when you choise Desolation Runes and buy Last Whisper - then, you hold good dmg in early and late game.





9x Greater Mark of Malice + 3x Greater Quintessence of Malice

Critical chance runes: average dmg is lower, but if you are lucky it can be higher.

Without you should have 14%, so 1 of 8 hits is critical. Brawler's Gloves practically double you chance for critical strike.

Not the best, but not the worst idea is 3x Greater Quintessence of Fortitude. In early game increase your survival. With Atma's Impaler you get 1,5 p.dmg <lol>

Abilities

Parrrley - Gankplank takes aim and shoots an enemy unit with his pistol. If he kills it, he gains extra gold.
Gangplank shoots a target unit for 20/45/70/95/120 (+ ) physical damage. Gangplank gains 4/5/6/7/8 extra gold if Parrrley deals a killing blow. This ability can crit and applies on hit effects.

- characteristic skill Gankplank. Into Summoner Rift and Twisted Trilane you should fist max it, because extra gold give you good advantage, but into Dominion only need to buy first lvl on start and enchance after the Remove Scurvy. Because on start you get much more gold than other games, it bonus is less useful. Of course it is still the best abilities, but is some abilities, that is too important and give you more. That is ...

Remove Scurvy - Consumes a large quantity of citrus fruit which clears any crowd control effects on him and heals him.

- great abilities. Into Dominion it gives you incredible power and help survive, when other champions die.

Raise Morale - Gangplank fires a shot into the air, increasing nearby allied champions' increased attack damage and movement speed.
Passive: Gangplank gains 8/10/12/14/16 Attack Damage and 3/4/5/6/7% Movement Speed.

Active: Gangplank fires his pistol into the air, disabling his passive boost but increasing his Attack Damage by 12/19/26/33/40 and Movement Speed by 8/11/14/17/20% and nearby allied champions' Attack Damage and Movement Speed by half that amount for 7 seconds.

- you should take 1 lvl on start and maximalize it abilities on the end. Use on start, give adventage speed in race to top point. Use it before or into fight. It very usefull when you or your teammate run or try catch enemy.

Cannon Barrage - Gangplank signals his ship to fire upon an area for 6 seconds, slowing enemies and dealing random damage in the area.
Signals Gangplank's ship to fire upon an area for 7 seconds, slowing enemies in the area by 25% for the duration. Cannonballs rain upon the area, each causing 75/120/165 (+0.2) magic damage.

- you can save your ***, your team, strategy point or help capture the point your minions. Very useful. Large coldown.

Grog-Soaked Blade - Gangplank's basic attacks and Parrrley apply a poison that deals magic damage each second and slows movement speed. Lasts 3 seconds and stacks up to 3 times. - very good skill. Raise Morale + Grog-Soaked Blade + Trinity Force make nice difference between us and enemy speed.

Summoner Spells

first placeExhaust - this is the best summoner spell in my opinion. Exaust slow and weak atack and bonus statistic your target. Use into fight, impresivelly reduce enemy statistic and increase your chance to win. Good to escape and catch enemy.

second Flash - use smart help you disapper or appear unexpectedly, increase or short distance between your and your enemy.

third Ghost - usually better in long distance. If you not chose the flash, you should take it.

forth Ignite
and last useful spell Garrison - only use in Dominion. Good to capture or defend the tower.

Team Work

Before the teamfight you shuld use Parley and weaken carry in enemy team. Use our ulti when teamfight was started. You have 3 purpose:
1. kill enemy carry.
2. slow and kill champions, that want kill your carry.
3. Survive.

Use Parley if it possible.
You must know, that suicide isn't good idea, so don't fight 1 vs 2 or 1 vs 3. Remember about other carry - if you see that someone try catch your ranger or leader - use q or auto-attack. It slow him and help your matte keep the distance.

We are buying items on the start

You must buy boots, because if you are slow, you can't catch enemies, but their can catch you. So you can buy:

Boots of Speed - enough on start. Now you can choice between:

2x Long Sword

or + Brawler's Gloves

or Pickaxe

or Protectors Blade - good damage and survi. If you want be really strong on start, you should choice it.

or Cloak of Agility - but it isn't the best choice, because your atack isn't the biggest on start and it won't scared enemy.

When you want buy better boots, recommended:
1. Mercury - if enemy have big m.damage and stuns or slows.


2. Ionian Boots - good vs balaced team. Reduce coldown, so you often can use your great abilities.


3. Berserkers Graves - increase your attack speed. It is good on start, but later little worst.


4.Ninja Tabi is the cheapest option. You can buy it, if enemy team choise champions deal p. damage. It situation is seldom, so usually you choice some of previous boots.

Other items

Boots:

Odyn's veil is more expensive than Spirit Visage, but it better if enemies deal big magic damage.

Phantom Dancer is alternative for Trinity Force. It is cheap and give more critical chance, but don't slow enemies and don't give you health and bonus damage after use abilities (GP often use q), so it is little worst choice, but not bad still.

Sanguine Blade - good, but Gankplank Should kill or weaken enemy before close combat and usually you don't use full bonus, so much better will be Zekes Herald.
