Intro

Gangplank is an unbelievable FARMER! I cannot tell you how many times I have farmed and end up with my items before anybody on my or enemies team! This is a build that seems to work everytime if your team knows what they are doing. Seriously, if your team knows how to play their champions then you'll win the game. Gangplank can take major chunks of health off towards squishies. He's a true anti-carry killer! He will eat up any squishy that comes in his way...

Pros:
Great Scary Carry!
Has the Spells "Heal" and "Cleanse" in ONE! (Remove Scurvy)
Extreme FARMER!
Ultimate will scare anyone away!
Cons:
Will be focused on once you start to dominate the field.
CC's can be a problem at times.
Somewhat Squishy.

Masteries

With the Masteries and starting of weapons you will get 22% Crit Chance. I like the CoolDown reductions to shoot more Parrrleys at your victims. The masteries focus on Crit Chance/Crit Dammage/ and Maximum Mana. You can always play around with the Masteries because I don't always use exhaust or ignite. Sometimes I will replace the 2 points off of and put them towards more attack speed. Like I said every game will be different.

Spells

With my build with Gangplank I have noticed I never really struggle with movement speed so I don't use Ghost like I used to. My movement speed will alwyas be more than enough during late game. Instead I use because it seems to help a lot more with escapes or initiates. However, if you feel like you need to use then by all means use it and replace the point in preseverence for .

I normally only use these 3 Spells now:
I usually ALWAYS use Flash now!

It's such a great spell to eat up Health users and Kill 1 bar enemies off of the map.

A great Spell to slow and keep them close to you when Parrrley is down.

Hell No's:
You have one already... <.<

You have one that is WAY FASTER!!! <.<

Seriously? <.>

haha...

Runes

I've noticed a lot of builds go for Armor Pent and yes it does work but not the way I build Gangplank. With the the runes I get 99% Crit Chance and it leaves me with 2 items to choose whatever items I need against my opponents. Also I have 8 Crit Chance runes in Seals because it stays 12% even if i were to add the 9th Crit Chance rune so I replaced the 9th Seal spot for extra CD which will give you 6.18% Cooldowns with runes alone giving a total of 9.18% CD (not including items).

I normally go with the Runes Build Below.

X9
You NEED Crit Chance to dominate with Parrrley.

X8
More Crit Chanceto hurt early and all the way to late game.

X1
This rune gets your 9.18% CD from the start of the game.

X9
These help With all your skills but importantly your Parrrley and your Ult.

greater quintessence of desolation X3
Armor Pent. are the best runes for any Melee or Physical Champion.

Game Sequence

Early Game: I always start off with and 2 Health Pots. This gives you 22% Crit Chance from the start. Find your lane partner and harass with . A good thing in early game is to control the bushes. What I like to do is stay in the bushes while my teamate hits minions or chills back, then I would pop out and shoot my at the enemies and go right back in the bushes. Controlling the bushes is MAJOR! Bushes can determine a death to your ally or theirs. After killing minions and last killing minions with go back and buy your and .

Mid Game: This is a tricky part of the game on deciding on what to build next. I usually go for infinity egde first to get some AD and some crit chance for me because movement speed is still ok. However, sometimes I will purchase my main boots before because of certain enemies chasing me easily. Either way you will get your sooner than you will notice. After that build your and grab a . TIP*** You want to use your Ultimate to push a lane or to protect towers from a huge minion wave that no one can get to in time. Another way of using your ultimate is to lay it right on a turret that your team wants to destroy. That will push the enemies away and also kill the minions that could be there.

Late Game: By this time you'll notice the dominating part I keep mentioning about however not yet. Build another and CONGRATS! You have 99% Crit Chance!!! After that work on getting your and you're basically set now! The last item I usually get because it gives me a lot of health that I need and slows down enemies from running.

Tips:
I like to sometimes taunt the enemy team to use their skills on me if I know it won't hurt me. For example if I know I'm fighting a lane against an then I try to make her use her on me because I know I can quickly recover from it by using and then beat the living daylights out of her! Another way of doing this is if you know you can get out safely I would face check a bush knowing that the enemy is there waiting to pounce on me. So I would use , Heal up, and either kill them or just run away. I know that sounds stupid but I have done it a few times on accident too! XD So I would use and then my butt back to safety!!!

Other Items

The other items you can buy instead of getting a Frozen mallet would be...

yes another bloodthirster would work because you will have more AD and Lifesteal however you lack any Health so you rely on minions and enemies to regain health.

I honestly will probably never use this item for gangplank imo. However, it does have great stuff for GP including a buff passive of the item and can slow an enemy with a 35% chance. Yes some more health does work and mana.

This will give you some good amount of Health and Mana but also a free cleanse. So yes I would definetly use this if the team is all nasty stunners. <.<;

I know this is crazy but yea I would use it depending on the enemy team. Just use common sense and don't think you're invincible because you have like 3k health now...

Summary

I would like to thank you for reading and/or using my guide as a reference to playing Gangplank. I hope this will give you a better understanding on how Gangplank is used the way I play him. Please rate HONESTLY and NO TROLLING!
