Explanation for what i choose.

i put my first point into garen's "q" because it gives good lane dominace/farm and if you use it right, turret hits. in addition to his garren gets a very nice movement speed bonus in a tight squeeze and a handy silence.

Masteries is a common dps combination with dodge, its always usefull because it could save u in a pinch

Runes are a basic hybrid dps build and seeing as how garen is restricted by cooldowns i choose them carefully. knowing garen's sweet passive it is crucial to get hp runes to stay in lane for a ridiculous amount of time.

The items work amazingly well with garen, maxing out (or close to maxing out) his cooldown reduction and giving him awesome tanking abilities. there is always the option of switching banshe's veil instead of randuin's omen if against a high ap damaging team. normally i grab randuins to increase the passive and make garen an unstoppable wall when it comes to teamfights, the active/passive are great for get aways when combined with judgement.

anyways have fun with the build it has given me great garen playing joy and recently had a 10/4/15 game in ranked, the deaths are all from taking a turret for my team, or two. sorry if this build was not as "in-depth" as many people would like :3
