To Agamaru: I would not like to sacrifice my Boots of Swiftness as that would make less effective of a chaser even if I had full cd reduction. Changing glyphs would make pretty much squishier and I wouldn't do that. I like the idea though and may add it as optional runes+items in the build when I got time. About the masteries: Nah I like my slightly better defensive powers alot early and midd game. I wouldn't give them up. But I could perhaps add sorcery as optional masteries aswell. Thanks alot for the critisism! I look forward for your option after testing the build also!

To Torpedo Bat: Thanks alot. Glad you liked it.

I normally use Doran's Shield as well on solo top. But I put Doran's blade in the cheat sheet just because...I don't really know! I will change it now!

This isn't an Offtank, it's just Garen with a lot of health. You can't qualify as an offtank build unless you build a decent amount of Mres/armour. A good offtank would have Randuin's and Wit's End(though there are obvious reasons to adapt your build). Anyway, I don't think this guide is horrible, but it does fail to impress me, which is an issue given you claim it to be an Offtank, when it's not. Not trying to be harsh, just going by the standard I see in other Garen guides.

Garen's W: Courage gives him a very decent amount of armor/mres. This combined with my runes and masteries give me a worthy amount of resistances. I agree with that I am building pretty much plain health, but that is just because both Courage and Atma's Impaler (which I find being one of the main items on every Garen) scales alot better out of health then of resistances. Also. Garen's Courage active and passive + a great amount of health gives me(perhaps not you, but atleast me) more then enough survivability to offtank for my team. Also, if the enemy team adapts their items( Mardred's Bloodrazor) or has a health destroyer, then adapt YOUR items. My optional items gives you a great amount of power to change into MR,Armor or both. I find my build good enough to play well with(even better then well) and great to offtank with. I am sorry that I do not share your image of Garen, but everybody can't be the same and that is just natural.

Anyways, thank you for the critisism and your opinion. It has probably(or atleast hopefully) learned us both something valuable.

Oh yeh, I did forget to factor in Courage(pity Moba doesn't show stats relative to Effects on abilities/items). Even then, your armour is sort of at the minimum amount I would consider that an Offtank would have, and your MRes isn't significant enough... maybe just include Force of Nature or Wit's End in the main build to keep the stats balanced? Obviously you want to build to counter the opponent, I just think the main build should have good defensive balance. I will reconsider my downvote, though, after some further scrutiny.

Yes, it is a pity Moba won't show Effects and abilities stats... but I thought over your words still, and found that I had been abit wrong. A Force of Nature could actually help more then ruin for a Garen offtank in endgame. Guardian Angel is still in sixth item choice if you need more of both armor and magic resist, but now Youmuu's was removed from the cheat sheet to make room for FoN. Youmuu's is still in the sixth item choice, though, if you are too fed to feel the enemies underfed damage:D.

Thanks alot for the critisism which woke me up. I am glad you visited my Garen build and made me think again. A nice day on you, good sir, and many thanks.

Sincerely Shaxys.

I'm very glad you liked it:)
And I'm also both glad and a bit melancholic that you didn't find any things I needed to improve.. This means the guide is great, but it also means I can't improve anything.

Thanks a lot for all the positive critisism and happy Garening!
