Garen Guide
Garen - Ranked Build Tank + Dmg (Solotop)
He's not a dps early on as his dmg come from his spells.
He could be a dps in late game as his main source of damage comes (at this point) from AA and not from skills, as these scale poorly
Garen is not a tank as he has only 1 disruptive hability, the Q, and the silence doesnt affect every kind of champions.
If not fed and if built "tank", he is not a threat for anyone in the enemy team, that's why he will be ignored and then, not be a tank.
In team fights, you can't protect your AD carry because you dont have the kit to do, not because it would be the support's role (what a stupid idea)
PS : Garen is deadly easy to counter, basically every champ who doesn't fear the silence and has a full armor runepage. You can feel strong in early levels, but in fact you're already useless lvl 6 ~ 9

I disagree about Garen being easy to counter, he has a great sustain, I play Garen like srsly awsome, and I know that the only counter to me is if someone has an ability as in Gangplanks Q, Katas Q etc. what will turn off my Passive and I will probably need to recall a lot, losing minions and level, but other then that, dont find other champions that really counter him, people like Mundo or Rumble, arent a problem since you just need to hide behind the minions, and they wont be able to hit you.
When I play Garen, I am fed, since early game Garens damage is Crazy.
Anyway thanks for the comment, even if its "negative", it does help, you probably rated lower, but its ok its your opinion. But if you do play Garen, try my build, you will see how strong it really is.
