Hey guys, this is my first guide. So i hope you all like it.

Garen is a Tanky DPS type of champion and is rarely used properly. Now this guide will show you how Garen is when you build him as a Pure Tank Garen.

I will be adding in more garen builds as I go along like crit Garen and tanky DPS Garen.
But for now i will just start with Pure tank Garen

And I also want to thank jhoijhoi for the guide on how to make a guide :)

Pros

+ Great Tank

+ Great Health, MR, Armor, Passive.

+ Hard to catch

+ Good dmg when you use your combos

+ No mana, No Energy

+ Excellent farmer

+ Demacian Justice annihilates enemies with lowish HP



Cons

- Cooldowns :S

- No friendly abilities (Taunt etc.)

- Not as much DMG as DPS build.

Now this is a pure tank "guide", which means feel free to try other items if needed.

I find that getting Ninja Tabi before anything for the sole fact that it give armor and allows to get get in and out of fights easier early game.

after that getting Sunfire Aegis will help with your farming.

After getting the Sunfire Aegis get Guardian's angel. for the reason being that you are now tanky enough to initiate team fights and if you get ganked off guard, you will have a second chance to get away to safety...it is also good for when the enemy dives you at your turret.

After obtaining Ninja Tabi Sunfire Aegis and Guardian's angel you need to scope out the enemies and see which direction to go next.

I usually go and get Force of Nature from here for the extra MR, health regen, and the added movement speed to top it off.

Then getting Frozen Heart and Warmog's Armor will give you the armor and health to be able to withstand going 1v5 to initiate a team fight while you wait for your allies to join in and get an ace.
