I had a game recently with Thresh and ended up with 9/3/25. Since then I have had 5 wins in a row with Thresh using this guide. Thanks a lot gleebglarbu.

I understand AD versus GP5 Quints. But what about MS? Death sentence needs positioning and they'd help place wards faster.

Awesome, i just join mobafire just to vote up...
Just one advice, you could make a video with early plays (zone their carry, dives, etc.)
Gratz!

if your still looking for things to put in, alot of people that i have seen play support seem to lack in positioning/ peeling for your adc's, different situations could be put in such as versing a kassadin (heavy engage/dive champs): what you should do as a support versing this kind of champion.
i have experienced many supports blow all of their abilities trying to get the enemy into the right position for their team, but in doing this they leave their entire team vulnerable.
in conclusion describing how to play the champ in a team fight situation versing different kinds of team comps and how to look at a team and know how to fight it (this could be a whole guide in itself already so referencing it would be fine also).
just a thought :)

I really like this guide because it gives a slightly different look at Thresh than what I've done in the past.
One thing I would like to ask is maybe a little more elaboration on the item choices. Also, take a moment to check the "cheat sheet" link and maybe put your ideal ending items in there. :)

AD quints are not necessary but they give you the ability to bully your lane even harder. If you have an incredibly weak laning AD and know you are unable to get any form of pressure in lane you can switch out AD quints for GP10. One instance where this would be good is if you have Ashe or another low damage AD vs Draven and Leona. I don't buy ability power on Thresh because you need to be in the middle of the fights to do damage, and tank stats help with that much more. Your passive also gives you a lot of free AP.

I really love Tanks but, why no ability power?

Do AD quints necessary work all round ? Are there any situations where I am better off with other runes?

You can shift one point from Resistance into Summoner's Resolve when you take heal and put the extra point into Intelligence for the CDR. With the length of Thresh's CDs, I value 2% CDR over 2 MR in most cases, unless we have a weak front line and I need to be tankier. Overall though this really comes down to preference, having 2 MR or 2% cdr really won't be game changing.

0/14/16 also is viable and will give you more MR for the lane phase but I usually put the last mastery point into Intelligence because all of Thresh's skills, especially his ult, have long CDs.

I mean...why this extra point in utility when taking heal?
