Introduction

Hey guys! My name is MuchoTryHard0, and this is my Gnar guide.
A little bit about me, I'm an AD Nidalee main, and have been since before the rework. In my opinion Gnar is a lot like Bruiser Nid, and they're both really fun to play. Gnar is a really lane-dominant, early game champion, and his kit allows for amazing outplays!

This is my first guide, so give me some constructive criticism.

Spells

- Flash is standard. This is really good when you mess up you're jump, or when you're in Mega Gnar form and are really slow. It's also a good engage in Mega Gnar form for that crazy +

- Teleport is a really good spell. Since Gnar can splitpush quite fast, it's good to TP into a fight happening across the rift.

- Ignite is what I usually take on Gnar since he already has a lot of kill potential. It's good in all-in situations, and can counter the heals of increasing in popularity top laners like Nidalee and Maokai.

Most people max on Gnar;however, maxing "w" doesn't give you the most out of your Frozen Fist or Triforce. By maxing , you have amazing poke damage and can proc the with it. The Boomerang is spamable, so why not do the most damage from safe range every 3-4 seconds, and then hit like a truck with the sheen proc?

should be maxed second because by this time, you should have already started building towards you're and now your will be proc'd a lot faster.

should be maxed last because this is primarily an escape/engage tool, and it has a long cooldown so you won't be getting maximum use out of it.

Lastly, Gnar's ultimate is . Like always, put points into it whenever you can. This ultimate can only be used in Mega Gnar form and acts as an AoE stun/knockback/slow. If it knocks enemies into a wall, it stuns. Gnar's ultimate doesn't get as much use in places such as Mid lane because there isn't many walls, as it would in crowded places like the jungle. This ult will destroy people when fighting over dragon or baron.

Runes

- Just some extra protection against that that somehow always gets fed.

- So doesn't hurt THAT much.

- So your AA's hurt and your destroys people.

- I mean, why not?

- Just in case you take some damage and you need to regain your health before the enemy ganks you...again.

Farming

Farming with Gnar is really easy! You don't even have to get anywhere near the enemy champion. This is another reason for maxing your , just press "Q" while aiming at the low minion and you should be fine.

How I play Gnar, is that I try to AA as little as possible. Since AA'ing increases your , and its really hard to CS in Mega Gnar form without getting punished from the other laner. That's why I just use my to last hit, plus its range is more than double your AA. Don't forget to use the Boomerang to harass!

C-C-COMBO BREAKER

Getting kills is easy with Gnar. Here is a really basic combo that works quite well.

-Harass the enemy top laner as much as you can with .
-Make sure your is full.
-Find a minion (yours or theirs) in front of your target. onto the minion and you should transform into Mega Gnar mid flight and on top of them.
-Land an easy and pick it up to lower the cooldown.
-Land a quick for the stun.
-If they're not dead already, use your ultimate, , preferably into a wall, with a quick ignite and that should be a dead top laner.

So here's that ^ with visuals.

You're ganking me? lol np

When you're in Mini Gnar form, you can use your to increase the distance by ALOT from the jungler coming to gank you. can be used on an allied minion, enemy minion, enemy champion, allied champion, or nuetral monster. If you successfully jump on them, it will again do another jump, and allow you to get even farther from the other team.

**And one last thing, Gnar has good synergy with and because Gnars ult can be used to knock the enemy into Anivia's or Jarvan's .

Summary

Gnar is a really fun champion, and if you've never played him, definitely give him a try. Nothing is more satisfying than juking people out with and leaving the enemies puzzled.

Try out my build with Gnar, and see if you like it. If you don't, that's okay! Just keep trying an improvise. Leave a comment if you think I should change anything or have anyway to better my build, I'd love to here it.

Anyway guys, thank you for clicking on my Gnar build. This was my first guide so don't be too harsh :D
