Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Perhaps one of the oddest champions in the League of Legends is the yordle known as Amumu. His life before joining the League remains unknown - especially to Amumu. All he remembers is that he woke up alone inside a pyramid within the Shurima Desert. He was entwined in mummy wrappings and he could not feel his heart beat. Furthermore, he felt a deep sadness that he could not entirely explain; he knew he missed his parents, though he could not remember who they were. Dropping to his knees, Amumu wept into his bandages. No matter what he did, it seemed he could just never stop his tears or sadness. Eventually he got up off his knees to mope and wander the world, making his way to the League; it would seem that even the raw power of unleashed emotions can be used to benefit the plans of summoners.
This is my jungling Amumu build. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment and ill check it out. If you like my build please vote up there ^
Tanky with a huge damage output
Great Crowd Control
Bad early game lane (which is why you jungle)
Gets banned 40% of the time in ranked games
III. Summoner Spells
For Amumu I ALWAYS choose these two:
Flash: Flash is an amazing summoner spell on Amumu because it can be used to get close enough for a Bandage Toss or escape a gank. It can also be used to get you into position for your ultimate.
Smite: Because im jungling. It is a must on all junglers. It can be used to prevent stolen buffs, to steal buffs, faster jungling speed, and for faster dragon/baron kills.
Marks: Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Because there aren't any better marks for Amumu and it gives 8.5 Magic Penetration early game. That's really good considering that all your abilities are magic.
Seals: Greater Seal of Armor
They give that extra boost of armor early game to help you survive in the jungle.
Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction
They help clear jungle faster, initiate fights more often, possibly get that last hit in.
Quints: Greater Quintessence of Health
Can't go wrong with flat health quints. Good for survivability in early game jungle.
V. Item Sequence
Cloth Armor: Pretty much standard jungling starter item. Will build into Guardian Angel
Health Potion: Get 5 for guarantee 1 try jungle clear.
Boots of Speed: Everyone needs them.
Health Potion: Atleast 2 more for those sticky situations.
Boots of Swiftness/ Mercury's Treads: ALWAYS get Boots of Swiftness unless the opposing team has 2 or more strong CC. If they do get mercs. KNOCKUP DOES NOT COUNT
Chain Vest: Get this and start working on your Sunfire Cape which is OP on Amumu
Philosopher's Stone: Get it after you finish your sunfire and your mana issues should stop.
Null-Magic Mantle: Get this for some MR and finish building your Guardian Angel
Abyssal Scepter: At this point you should be unkillable so get this for some MR and some AP for extra damage. Also reduces the MR of nearby enemies and it stacks with Amumus passive Cursed Touch.
Shurelya's Reverie: Build this next. This is an amazing item on Amumu because it gives extra health, HP and mana regen which is needed on Amumu, cooldown reduction which is amazing on him, and a Unique Active that increases the movement speed of allies by 40% for 3 seconds.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter: If you bought everything and the game is still going on start building this. It gives extra health and AP which is great, and it also slows down your targets movement speed by 35% which will pretty much guarantee the kill.
Start off with buying a Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potion. Make your way to the Blue Buff Golem and wait till 1:54. Once it spawns right click it once, as soon as you hit press w to turn on Despair. When it hits you for the first time activate your Health Potion. When it gets to about 600 or so HP use Smite and kill the 2 creeps. If you got the mastery in the Utility Tree Awareness, which is a must, you should be level 2 and have gotten your first level of Tantrum. Make your way down to wolves and activate another Health Potion. After wolves activate your third Health Potion and kill the wraiths. Go down to golems and activate your fourth Health Potion if needed. After you kill the golems heal up to about 3/4 HP and go for the Red Buff Lizard. Make sure to have Despair on at all times and Smite it at around 600-700. After you kill it go B and buy Boots of Speed and 2 more Health Potion. Repeat this cycle while throwing in some ganks from time to time and you should be good.
Flash - To get into position/Escape
Smite - Because your jungling and its a must.
Greater Mark of Insight - Magic Pen because all your abilities are Magic!
Greater Seal of Resilience - For extra armor as a tank/jungler!
Greater Glyph of Celerity - More cooldown reduction = more abilities used = Faster Killing!
Greater Quint of Fortitude - More Hp that adds up with Veteran's Scars Mastery!
Mercury Treads or Boots of Swiftness
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
