Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Tired of losing top? Well don't worry because with my 3k ELO Bankplank build, you can't possibly lose your lane. First off, let me explain the philosophy of the Bankplank build. If you cannot grasp the philosophy behind Bankplank, you will surely fail at successful with this build.
The philosophy or mindset behind Bankplank is rather simple. It's not to crush your enemy and it's not about making big plays. This build is based off of making more money than your opponent. You do not have to deny your opponent any CS. All you have to do is to try to keep up the same amount of minion kills as your opponent.
After you have successfully made more money than your opponent, you should be able to afford more expensive mid/late game items to compensate for your runes/masteries.
The runes are relatively simple. You need defenses to help you stay alive and you need GP10s to allow you to passively earn more gold.
The masteries shown above allow you to still be able to last hit effectively during the early phase of the game while giving you more passive gold income and defenses. You will be significantly weaker than your opponent during the early phase of the game so play cautious. Don't push your lane.
Your first item should be a philo stone. Second item should be boots. Then, either upgrade your boots and buy a heart of gold. Avarice blade comes next. Stacking Gp5s is essential to successfully pulling off this build. You should at the very least have two GP5s at any given time until you enter late game. From there, either go for a bloodthirster, IE, or finish your ghostblade depending on the situation. Keep in mind that you can build Bankplank however you choose because in the end as long as you have more gold than your opponent, your items should give you an edge.
Skill sequence is important. The sustain on W is incredible. With Philo stone and mana masteries, you'll be able to stay in lane and farm CS without ever needing to go back to base. I max Q second because early game you won't be much damage because this build is item dependent and without any items to compensate for your runes and masteries, you will surely lose.
Flash and Teleport is a great combo. Teleport allows you to get straight back into the action after having to go back to town to buy new items. Ignite also is also a very strong summoner spell for obvious reasons. It can easily give you the edge should you have to fight the other top laner.
This build honestly works. It may seem very trollsy but it's effective in normals and possibly even in Ranked. Anyways I hope you enjoy. Just remember not to get reckless.
