Hi guys I'm VonKrieger and today I'm gonna describe one of the my favorite AD Carries : Graves

Graves is a really strong AD Carry and he is hard to counter . Every minute of game makes Graves more powerfull sure if you have farming skills and if your support is not bad . For example a well Alistar and Graves never looses their lane . So, Let's get it started !

Skills and Tips

It's your Q skill: Buckshot. Has a nice damage and a perfect skill for harassing. Also It helps you much with farming.
It's your W skill: Smoke Screen It isn't a well-damaged skill. But has a special effect when you use it to your target he becomes disable to see you. And also It slows your target.
It's your E skill: Quickdraw. When you use it you get a limited attack speed and also you can dash anywhere you want with that skill. A perfec chasing and running skill
It's your R skill: Collateral Damage. Graves fires a big bullet that has a OK range. It's not a well-damaged skill but it helps you much to take kills.

Pros / Cons

Pros :

+ Great harasser
+ Can clear minion waves quickly with Buckshot
+ Has a low-range escaping skill
+ His Quickdraw gives him nice Attack Speed
+ Perfect chaser with his Smoke Screen and Quickdraw


- Weak against other AD Carries in early game
- Squishy
- Has just a one CC skill: Smoke Screen
- Low ultimate damage
- Nothing to do to stop enemy jungle when get ganked

General Playing Style

As you know an ADC and a support goes bottom lane together. I think Graves needs a tanky support like Leona. Signal your support before you attack to your enemies. Take red buff if your jungler allows that at approximately the fifteenth minute. Because red buff makes Graves unstopable.

In teamfights your Q,W and R helps your team much. Use them like that : Smoke Screen- Buckshot-Basic attacks until the effect of your Smoke Screen ends- Collateral Damage.

Laning against an AD Ezreal is not hard with Graves . Because all skills of Ezreal requires skill shot and when you use your Smoke Screen he can not see you and he has to loose his position to hit you with any of his skills . When you use your Smoke Screen, use your Quickdraw to move quickly to another position so that Ezreal can not harass you with his main harass skill: Mystic Shot . Then use your Buckshot and a few basic attacks makes you unstopable against Ezreal. But don't be very aggressive if your support is not with you.

Laning against Miss Fortune is harder than laning against Ezreal with Graves. I think these two AD carries has the same power. Both two champions are great harassers and chasers. But Graves's Quickdraw helps him to escape Miss Fortune's ultimate. You can only beat Miss Fortune when you use your Quickdraw on right time. When she starts to cast her ultimate fall back or any side of ultimate with using your Quickdraw. After doing that cast your Smoke Screen then Buckshot + a few basic attacks and congratulations! You have harassed she successfully.

Laning against Ashe is not hard. Just stay behind your minions to don't get harassed with her Volley and try to escape her Enchanted Crystal Arrow with your Quickdraw.

Laning against Varus is really hard because of that equation:
Varus's Range = Your Range X2
There is only way to beat Varus with AD carries. Try to escape his skills because he can harass you from downtown. Use your Quickdraw when he cast his Chain of Corruption in teamfights or in your lane. When you make sure he has casted his all spells try to harass him with your Buckshot and a few basic attacks. You will need your support's help much against Varus.

Laning against Vayne is not too hard. Just don't let her stun you with her Condemn. Her basic attack speed is lower than your's. If you don't let she to take kills and farm more than she makes you a lot stronger than she too!

Laning against Kog'Maw is just a little bit harder that laning against Vayne. He can cancell your Smoke Screen's effect with his Living Artillery. When he uses it successfully and hit to you he can see you anywhere. Also don't rely on your Quickdraw's attack speed attribute, his Caustic Spittle skill gives him attack speed too. Be carefull when his Bio-Arcane Barrage activated because he gets incredible basic attack range. When you slain he from not far away he will try to chase you with his passive. Try to juke it with your Quickdraw when you enter a brush so that you can run away from he.

Laning against Twitch has just two rules. Don't play too aggresive and be carefull when he becomes invisible. He is a basic ADC with a slow effect like yours. Don't get scared when you see he against you in a lane.

Laning against Corki is hard because of the same reason with Varus. When becomes able to use his ultimate Missile Barrage. He can harass you far away. Play aggresive before he becomes able to use his ultimate. Take kills as much as you can and don't let him farm. And as like Kog'Maw when he uses his Phosphorus Bomb succesfully, the effect of Smoke Screen will be cancalled.

Laning against Caitlynn is not hard but you need to play careful. Escape her Piltover Peacemaker and don't let she hit you while her passive Headshot is ready to launch in early game. When you were chasing she, she will try to escape from you with her 90 Caliber Net. You need to use your Quickdraw too just in tame to catch she otherwise you will get slowed. Buckshot and your ultimate Collateral Damage will finish she when she has less than %30 HP.
