Welcome everyone to my very first guide (on MOBAfire). My guide is going to be about my main, Skarner, the Crystal Vanguard. Skarner can be build multiple ways, but the way I build him will be tanky dps with around 40% CDR and tons of movement speed.

Skarner can really jungle with anything, but the runes I use and recommend are those: Armor Pen red. Yellow Armor are useful so I am able to start with a Regrowth Pendant and a health potion. My Blue's are attack speed so i get lower Cooldowns on my Q so I can jungle faster. The Quintessences I use are Attack Damage, your also able to use the Attack speed or Armor pen.

For masteries i go 0/21/9. I take all the movement speed buffs i can get for alot of movement speed. I take all less damage buffs and the Bladed Armor in the Defensive tree for faster amd easy jungling.

My first item is a regrowth Pendant and a health potion for an save jungle, i mostly go back to get my Philo stone and my boots speed and another 2 health potion and 1-2 wards. My next item is a Sheen, it’s a must have on Skarner because you will spam your Q so much and all your other spells. My next item are Mercury Treads, you can also go for Ninja Tabi if they enemy team is heave Attack Damage(I preff the Mercury treads for reduced CC). My next item is Phage, again its a awesome item for skarner because you will keep slowing your target over and over again with your Q. Trinity Force is my next item and it’s just an awesome item, it has everything Skarner needs. The last item of my Core Item build is Hextech Gunblade. I get the vampiric Scepter first for the life steal on auto attacks and i get the hextech revolver. My next item what is kinda obvious is my Hextech Gunblade, again its has alot that Skarner needs, and the active is also awesome. From here on you will go for CDR and defensive items, get your Shurelya's Reverie. For good team support item to start a fight, run away, grab someone with Impale and let your team eat him :). Your next items are a Chain Vest and a Negatron Cloak, if the team is heavy Attack Damage rush your Frozen Heart, Heavy Ability Power you ask, get your Force of Nature first.

When jungling level up your Q first and take if first because it does the most damage and your main damage early on is going to be your Sheen and Q procs from it. At level two you want to take your E, don’t take your W because your E does more damage what means faster jungling and it heals for more than the W shield blocks. You want to level up your R whenever you can. When you reached level 9 you want to have 5 points in Q, 2 in W, 1 in E and 1 in R, from here on you want to level up R, W, E in this order.

The Summoner Spells I use for Skarner are Smite and Flash. Smite for a save and fast jungle and flash to chase, get away, grab someone with your Impale and let your team the work to kill.

Pros: You’re a Scorpion.
Awesome jungler and ganker.
Most fun Ultimate in game to be honest.
Good farmer.

Cons: None, I have sit here for 5 minutes watching to my screen and thinking of something bad of Skarner... Couldn't think of anything

My jungle route is fairly simple. Go wolves, ask your team to help a little, go blue, ask your team mates to leash. Use smite around 445 hp. You will reach level two, take your second points in E Fracture. Go wraiths and hit all 4 with Fracture and move to the golems or wolves again. Go to the Red lizard kill it with Smite and jungle some more and try ganking mid or bot.
