I'm playing hecarim as jungler, and following your build, except for the choice of shoes. Taking boots of swiftness, not for improving my DPS, but for staying faster than any ennemies. Hecarim is the best ganker, movement speed is his main weapon.

Awesome guild for a champ this new and for u to have such an understanding of it is a very hard thing to do.
I do have one question though when you said in the pro of hecarim is insane CC i dont really see it, i play hercarim too and i know that E has a little knock back but its next to nothing apart from that the other one is his Ult and that is a very good CC, but to me that is the only cc he has, 1 in 4 moves i dont see that as insane.....(might just be me though, NOOB-ALERAT XD) Just saying....

Not a bad guide, though I feel like there are more than just two possible jungle builds. I haven't played Dominion with him, and I get apprehensive about playing him top because he would get countered very easily, and might be a waste of his fast and aggressive play style.

Your first jungle build looks a lot like my violent honey badger build, though I've never opted out for a Hextech Gunblade for the 6th item, and I like having a Phantom Dancer, and would trade out the The Bloodthirster for it, but get the Hextech Gunblade after the Force of Nature to replace the Wriggle's Lantern's sustain, and final item would be Phantom Dancer.

Take a look at my guide and look at match histories with using the builds, you might like them. I'll also work in a Hextech Gunblade / The Bloodthirster into my honey badger don't give a **** build for Hecarim, just to test it out :).

Hecarim has been thought of as a terror, but has he every been thought of as a Honey Badger?

I think this guide is alright. I like it, but..
You are forgetting one thing, focussing more on his speed bonus passive will get you alot stronger on two points. 1) Easy escape (obvious) 2) Thanks to that awesome passive, you will get an amazing AD bonus, at least a free BF sword, but you can even get that higher.

Your guide is for sustainable Hecarims, with fairly low damage.
I prefer the very, very powerful one, going mov speed, lifesteal and a little AD.

My favourite champ. is Hecarim only because of this guide (the DPS build especially).I pretty like that I do tons of dmg all game and I am almost a tanky guy (cuz of warmog , atma ..).I always have nice stats on lane whoever my enemies are.I haven't tried the other builds cuz I think i have enough of everything included there :
e.g. I have almost 100% crit late game without crit build
e.g Lots of HP without tanky build
.....

I like Hecarim, I don't understand the why's of this build, especially the items. What is Hecarim's purpose? How do the items/masteries fit into that? Getting a free B.F. sword from speed is nice, but what else do those items do? Does Hec's Q crit? If not, then why get so much crit? I actually am looking for answers, so thank you for any help.
