Never build around his passive, it´s just is not effective (noob-trap). Though these build are done so. Boots /3hp in start. Take "W" at start and max it in the jungle, because Q take just to little damage towards the jungle-creeps. Don´t build wriggle, it´s not good for him. You can gank at lvl 2 and get kill because you got exhaust, and if you don´t.. well **** you. By ganking you´ll regen health and probably do some damage or even get a kill, they will never focus the jungler if you decide to gank. Rush yommu - Phage - Maw - Phage into Tri-force. If you decide to chose him in ranked, make sure that the person in mid is not that mana-dependent or not mana-dependent at all because you´ll be beast with that blue. I´m not voting this down, I just want to see some more thought put in to this, ure going in the noob-trap and the items are in some degree good, but not preferable. This is from a ranked-perspective that I do my analysis, don´t know if you are only famillar with normals.

Unfortunately Hextech Gunblade wont do any good on Hecarim. You won't benefit from spell vamp neither lifesteal as the main source of sustained damage is Rampage and it won't trigger spell vamp for it's AD based and neither lifesteal for it's AoE. It's the same as you build spell vamp on Ashe waiting to recover health as you cast Volley

It feels like most of the guides here are getting inspired on Sir SpankAlot's Skarner guide. In fact, Hecarim's style looks like a lot with Skarner's, but they are much different.

I suggest you studying an AP build. Seems very viable to me.

I would NEVER put Ninja's Tabi in the main build page. Why ? It's a situational item, not a must-take one.

I don't even know that guide... Why is everyone accusing me of 'stealing' others' ideas? It sorta pisses me off. (A.K.A. I take offense) I MADE THEM MY OWN EXPECT FOR ONE AND I GOT PERMISSION FOR IT. Now don't mention it again. Thank you.

This is true with EVERY item, is it not? :3 Each game is situational, therefore each item is situational.

I think your guide is very well made, I took inspiration from you and made my own Hecarim images for each chapter and credited you. But since it's a new champion and things still have to be explored no guide is perfect yet. You get +1 from me mate

I learned quite a bit from this build. Now, I'm only level 17 with no runes, so your pro build almost led me to losing a bot match due to having no armor. (-.-)
Fortunately a combination of your sustain and pro builds seem to work extremely well. While I don't follow it as a bible, you advise that in the guide in plain text. Kudos to a fine build, even though I don't agree with any one build completely.
And just to note- I build a Lantern (no runes, remember), BoSwift or Mtreads, Ghostblade, Trinity, Sunfire, and a Reverie... not per se in that order. I replace one with a FoNature if they have a good AP. Of course, that's a build without runes. With, and I'd probably do things rather differently.

Getting inspired in another works is not shameful or else.
