This is my first guide and as such is likely to contain errors so any help you can give me to refine this is very welcome. Also I don't know any coding so if someone can help me that would also be great.

Also please note this is not a kill all guide. Following my guide expect to get more assists than kills, this will be better explained later.

Pros / Cons

Pros - Powerful AOE attacks, strong heal, great to be the first in
Cons - squishy early game, team reliant heal, vulnerable to slows

So here i go 1/21/8

The one in offense is merely for the extra Movement speed on ghost making it add more AD when active and giving you a second escape option.

the 21 is to build a strong defense and health, you want to be able to dive in stay alive as long as possible as well as keep up your W as much as you can to keep your health up, this also gives you a means to change items to be more tanky if your team needs it

the 8 is for more base movement mainly, gives you a better chase and some bonus damage

the runes are pretty simple AD, the main thing here is the movement speed quits since as Hecarim you gain more AD with your speed. You can mix them a bit if you like to lean on tanky or AD this is just what i prefer

Now here the basic items are your general purpose assuming both teams are balanced but if you need to be a tank, or you need to build more against AD or AP to stay alive do it, remember you want to stay alive so you can spam your Q as much as possible and drop the life of everyone.

for boots the best options are Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads, depending on the enemy team, if they are mostly AP or have a lot of stuns/slows get mercury's treads, if they are mostly AD go for Ninja Tabi.

Next rush a Aegis of the Legion, the jump in defense will actually let you chase past a turret for a kill or to chase out those pesky turret huggers

Now for your big purchase, trinity force, this boosts everything you need and is i highly recommend to always have this item

next we have Spirt Visage, mainly this improves your healing from your W but it also reduces its cool down meaning you have less time between uses

the Maw of Malmortious is a great anti magic item that easily boosts your attack as well, but if the enemy doesn't deal magic damage you might want to trade this out

frozen heart gives more cool down for your W while having some nice base bonuses

As for alternate Items i will add this later

Skill Sequence

max your Q first, this skill is amazing and is your main damage, so max it as early as you can

W is next to max cause his will keep you alive in a team fight

E doesn't help you much but grab it at level 3 it gives you an escape and a knock back but the buff is gone as soon as you basic attack someone.

and of course level your R as normal

Summoner Spells

Here i got with Heal, this lets you keep your life up if things are going bad and gives you that extra second to escape, but it can be replaced for play style

Ghost is the other skill and is amazing on hecarim, not only does his give you an escape you can use it offensively to boost your attack cause of your passive and there is really no reason to have this

So this is how I use this build, start out with boots and pots pretty basic.

first check the bushes if you find your enemy laners quickly try to fire your Q off as much as possible, if you are going to die though turn at run, dont give them an early kill but try to weaken them as much as you can.

Early game you want to use your Q to help farm, if you can take a kill you are a better chase early game and can run down most. Once you start to get your defense up you can start diving past turrets to drop them but don't get greedy if you cant get the kill cut your losses and fall back.

once you have your Q you can start really working on actually killing and using your extra speed gank the other lanes.

Now in a team fight you want to start with your R if you can, this sill fear them and let you throw up your W and start building your Q stacks, me sure to spam Q and hit as many targets as possible and keep them in your Q, and remember that your Q heals you for damage your allies do to enemies as well, so that master yi that is dropping health like its nothing you want to stay right next to and use that to heal.
