Hecarim Build Guide by Aenemius

I don't understand how is it possible to write a guide about a champion that has just been released in the past week.

Did you already played more than 100 games as Hecarim ?

The guide is all first-hand successful experience; but there's a lot of input from others as well. I wouldn't say 100 games as Hecarim is necessary - no more than with any other champion, really. Hecarim doesn't introduce any radically different play mechanics the way Ziggs could be seen to.

I play a lot of support bot, tank, and solo top; Hecarim's good for all of these. I've also got a full team all trying him out for different roles - our jungler made comments, our usual solo top (who I alt for) also had input here. Combined between the remainder of my team and myself, we've already racked up about 40 hours of play with him. We've also been watching and recording the playstyle of other players we encounter using Hecarim, to compare their build and fight style with our own.

I have to assume other teams do the same - and as the guide said, it's in progress. Changes will happen as I observe more games, and play more roles with Hecarim.

Going pure tanky with those items seems like an valueable option, im gonna try it out and give you some feedback how it worked out

a hecarim jungle build without smite?
smite is MUST NEED spell for all junglers, even if they don't need it to clear the jungle, it's mandatory for being able to secure baron or dragon kills.
