Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Since his first sighting on the northwestern shores of Valoran, the towering, armored specter known as Hecarim struck a chilling fear into the hearts of all who laid eyes upon him. No one had ever seen anything like his titanic, ethereal form before, and the mystery of his sudden arrival was deeply unnerving. When Hecarim began to march eastwards, leaving a trail of desolate, lifeless ground behind him, the villagers of the plains fled their homes for the safety of nearby Demacia. In the city's now-overcrowded taverns, rumors about this inhuman phantom spread in hushed whispers. Some claimed that he was the vengeful shade of an ancient warrior, intent on destroying all living beings; one man insisted that they had seen him leading an entire legion of spectral cavalrymen; others still believed him to be the creation of some hateful necromancer. One Demacian commander, seeking to dispel the terror that had gripped the city, assembled a few of his finest soldiers and rode out to turn back or destroy Hecarim.
The commander led his soldiers to stand in Hecarim's path and braced for his assault. As the apparition bore down on them, an overwhelming sensation of dread gripped the warriors. The men, frozen in fear, could only scream as the ghostly titan ran them down, tearing them apart and trampling them beneath his iron hooves. Hecarim turned to the crippled, cowering commander and uttered a chilling statement: "This is merely the beginning. No mortal army can withstand the might of the Shadow Isles." With that, Hecarim departed, resuming his grim march. Driven to insanity by his nightmarish experience, the commander stumbled back to Demacia, where his dire warnings were dismissed as the ravings of a madman. While Hecarim's origin and intent were still a mystery, his destination became clear when he reached the Institute of War and, in a voice both ominous and commanding, demanded entry into the League of Legends.
"You don't understand... the shadows will consume us all..."
―Former Demacian Commander
Hello my name or rather summoner name is ravaner. There isnt really much so talk about myself but one thing for certain i love Hecarim. Im currently in Silver I, so this maybe isnt the best build but form my perspective it works for me.
Hecarim is a high mobility Champion that is often played in the jungle, But In this guide we will be going top and make our enemies tremble before Pony power movement speed is one of the best stats in the gameand you will se awesome this actully this is. the following Items will give him so awesome combat stats you will be "carrying" the inferior two legged weaklings to victory.
Items and why
Boots of Mobility These can be replaced with Boots of Swiftness but i like the non combat movement speed + 5% from masteries you will be moving so fast to lane they wont even ´have time to touch your tower.
Youmuu's Ghostblade This item is great on Hecarim it grants him Armor pen movement speed cooldown reduction and a really good Attack speed buff that increases for melee so thats always good after your little pony charge on the adc.
This item just gives us pure ad and movement speed and our long needed tenacity this can be replaced with other movement speed items if you dont feel like two Zephyrs are necesary Statikk Shiv is also a great choice.
Talisman of Ascension Is a support item so why would i go for that? i used to go Shurelias but they changed it this is almost the same exept i dont get increased gold as Nomad's Medallion did. to be honest it grants me additional cdr really great movementspeed buff [tip} ask your support or your friend to go with this aswell to make Hecarim run at light speed for 3 more seconds.
Mercurial Scimitar Gives you just an insane amount of movement speed when you activate it and grants alot of ad some well neded magic resist and a cleanse to remove that pesky cc.
Revive is Considired a troll summoner spell it either becomes useless or turn a game around hopefully it turns the game. Consider this if you want to have the most of your passive + revive you will hurt alot.
I can talk for ages about how good Teleport is with Homeguard but let make it short when you recall buy homeguard watch on your teamates lanes, tp to your tower and trample your enemy do death with your insane movespeed early game nuke
Ghost is such an awesome alternative to Revive if a 7 minute cd is not your thing ghost may give less movementspeed but the lower cooldown makes it more dependable.
Ignite is your friend when you need that extra bit of dmg that you dont have. i dont go ignite that often since teleport is a must and i prefer a summoner spell that gives you speed but its handy in some situations.
Exhaust Is an overkill for me, this summoner spell will make every inferior non movementspeed Pony cry for help. I rarely pick exhaust since im already very fast but its all about preferences.
this is what makes this build viable. it converts your movement speed to AD isnt that wonderful? anyways this is a overall a bad passive if your not going this build or using .
I love this spell, short cd,decend dmg, and a small attempt to be Garen at the same time this spell will be your main dmg throughout the early phases
The only reason i max this last is because its just not worth lvling up compared to your Devestating charge but its a good spell since it heals you from dmg you do and your teamates so it good at trades.
Max this second after your q]to run faster and hit harder. maxing this second also allows you to flee from ganks very easily not because your speed but because its low cooldown with your cooldown reduction items and masteries.
Pros / Cons
I dont recomend this in Ranked play. The only times i play this guide in ranked is in low rating (bronze silver) or in a premade 5 vs 5 ranked i mostly recomend it in premade because having communication is key with this build.
Teamwork is key in League Of Legends and you should never go alone if you are not certain you can get away with your murder. Having champions that speeds you up like Oriannas or Galios will help alot with this build, see if you can have a friend playing that champion would really help you out in this build.
So there it is this is my favorite way of going Hecarim my favorite character. This guide took me some hours to do and its my first time doing a guide so feedback is welcome. I will be checking the spelling mistakes and grammar errors as time goes by but for so long enjoy my way of playing Hecarim. I will also consider answering your questions if you have some or just play with you if you so desire and play my builds with you to see it in action.
Great thanks if you read it all and made it through this far.
