Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello, this is Man of Silver! I've been trying to "break" the META with some new supports, and Heimerdinger has been surprisingly pretty good. His turrets can be used in a few ways, they can be used for warding early game, team fights late game, or simply helping your jungler with dragon. He has a lot of potential as a support and I will be sure to try to master it and make the guide better for you, the viewers. P.S., only pick Heimerdinger against lanes with a ton of sustain or very, very little sustain.
Okay, so my runes may look a little strange to some people, but runes are something you can actually use for personal preference. I play with these runes, you may play with others. I use the Magic Penetration Marks for poke and team fight damage. The Armor Seals are for having flat armor against the enemy ADC early game. The Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs are for late game to defend against the enemy APC in team fights. Finally, 2 Movement Speed Quintessences for early game chasing, and one Gold Per 10 Quintessence for getting items faster, but not very much faster.
Like the runes, masteries are personal preference and gameplay style. 0/9/21 have seemed to be my favorite masteries out of the possible combinations. They will give you sustain, tankiness, and a LOT of gold. The early game starting gold may not seem very important, seeing as it is only 50, but it helps so much to have that extra health or mana potion, depending on what you want. That's really all the masteries do, so on to the next chapter.
The item sequence (look at the notes) is pretty self explanatory, they give you a ton of sustain, some damage, and LOTS of tankiness.
Skill sequence on this guide will most likely matter, but be free to use your own and post some feedback on the comments, I will appreciate it a lot. To be honest, I strongly suggest that you follow my skill sequence from levels 1-5 for the best results in supporting as Heimerdinger.
Heimerdinger is a champion who has a very different style of play than most other champions. He can be played in many positions, whether it be defensive or offensive, and can be "interpreted" in a lot of different ways. He is my favorite champion by far and I wish I had money at the time when his Alien Invader skin was on the legacy rotation. Maybe next year!
End of My Guide!
I hope you liked my guide for support Heimerdinger. I hope to one day get out of this cursed ELO hell and play ranked as support, my favorite, and best, position. Have fun with this guide and be sure to post feedback, anything is fine! Change this guide as much as you want for your own play style. Hope you have fun in LoL like I do with Heimerdinger, and be sure to add me if you'd like, my in game name is "Man of Silver". Goodbye!
