Introduction

Hello,
I'm going to be perfectly straight with you here. This Xin build is actually good if played well, a large amount of damage can be dealt in a very short space of time. This is my first guide, I probably will not make any more because I can tell this will go badly, so please leave any constructive criticism which will allow me to make changes to this guide! By the way, you don't need to read the rest of this unless you want to, just follow the item guide and skill sequence for an insta win

Summoner spells

Ideal choices

FLASH

EXHAUST

Why?
Why not, in respond to your question.
Xin Zhao does not have a way of escaping any fights, so that is why we have flash and exhaust.

Exhaust will allow us to slow one of our attackers, primarily their carry, allowing a swift escape. Exhaust can also be used to chase down an enemy, the few seconds of slow combined with the armour reduction may grant you a quick and easy kill.

Flash will also benefit your escape. It can grant those few vital meters which are the difference between life and death. Not only can it be used to escape, but in combination with Xin Zhao's Audacious Charge it will allow you to catch up with enemies, supporting you in that extra kill.

Other choices
IGNITE

GHOST
Again, why these?

Ignite, tired of those enemies running off with 100hp? well, as you know, ignite is the solution for that. The damage it deals can be t he difference between your enemy dying and surviving, I know we all hate it when they run off on low health, so why not counter it? Ignite can also counter health regeneration such as Volibear's annoying passive.

Ghost As i mentioned before, Xin zhao has no way of escaping, so Ghost can be used to run away from your enemies, or to catch up with them.

DON'T
Please try NOT to use any of the other summoner spells unless neccessary, as not all of them compliment Xin!!!
These are the NO-GO's.
Garrison Heal Revive Smite Surge Teleport Cleanse Clarity Promote Clairvoyance

Masteries

Not much explanation is needed here, I have focused primarily on offence, as Xin Zhao is a carry, he will need all the offensive buffs he can get. I have not placed a buff in the utility mastery, as I value the extra health, it is very effective start-game, and buff's last for a while anyway.

Skills

For starters, I LOVE Xin Zhao's abilities, they require very little mana, and are generally effective. Xin Zhao is a very good champion when it comes to ganking, due to his abilities, so use them wisely!
CHALLENGE (passive)
Xin Zhao challenges his target with his basic attacks and Audacious Charge, reducing its armor by 15% for 3 seconds. Only one target can be challenged at a given time. If the enemy team is all in 1 group, you will be able to pick off targets by initiating with audacious charge on a target, use your ultimate crescent sweep to knock away the other baddies a fair distance, allowing you and your team to secure the kill. This passive has great synergy with the black cleaver as well.

THREE TALON STRIKE
Your primary move, the first to be maxed. This move deals a hefty amount of damage early game, and also knocks your opponent up in to the air on the third hit. Try to spam this kill as much as possible alongside your W, it allows you to throw in the hits quicker and more often.

BATTLE CRY
This skill is very useful. Max this skill second. Every third hit, it grants you a small portion of health which can be very useful farming early game.

AUDACIOUS CHARGE
This is a great skill for initiating fights. It's a distance closer, but also slows all enemies around the target. Typically after using this skill, you want to immediately use your ultimate for maximum damage. One point in this skill early is useful for closing distance, but we're going to hold off on more points till late game. The increased slowing is really nice, but we already have many tools for slowing the enemy, as well as a high movement speed to chase the baddies down.

CRESCENT SWEEP
Hello, crescent sweep! I love this move after Xin's rework. Want to target that single champion? jump right in to them with your Audacious Charge, hit them once then activate your Crescent Sweep. This will push all enemies away by a lengthy amount, singling out the baddie allowing you and your team to finish them off. Be wary of CC such as Sion Cryptic Gaze though!!! We all know that's a killer.

Items

BERSERKER'S GREAVES
The basic boots for all AD carries, they grant the regular movement speed, but also contribute to attack speed, giving you that extra edge in fights.

PHANTOM DANCER
Your core item. As we are building three of these, I rate it most important. The phantom dancer is a fantastic item. Not only does it contribute to attack speed, but it also buffs your critical chance and movement speed by a large amount. The attack speed bonus is H U G E, especially as we have 3!!! Do the math, 30x3 is 90, that's a 90% critical chance rate. You're basically critting at every hit with a full build, do you realise how much damage that will deal alongside a fully farmed bloodthirster and your black cleaver? lovely!

THE BLACK CLEAVER
I love this item. I try to build the black cleaver with most AD carries, it grants a large amount of attack damage and a little attack speed. But the thing that makes this item stand out is its passive. Every hit, the enemy's armour is reduced by a fair amount for 5 seconds. It can stack three times. Not only does this help you deal more damage, but you can really get through those tank's thick armour. It also assists your team mates in dealing damage.

THE BLOODTHIRSTER
The bloodthirster. Again, another essential for AD carries. A fully farmed bloodthirster provides 100 attack damage (W O W) and 20% life steal!!!
By this time, you will have a ton of movement speed and all the tools in place to destroy your enemies. Now its time to start stacking the damage. Bloodthirster can wait until this late in the game because you have some natural life game with your passive. With all your attack speed, that will heal you faster than you might expect. Still, lifesteal is always a great thing and this item is essential to being that nasty physical carrier that you will end up being.
