Hello my name is Plaguerusher, i've been playing League of Legends for almost 3 yrs. Ever since I started playing I wanted to get Renekton, the Butcher of the Sands. Ever since I bought him i've steadily improved myself with him and, have become quite good with him. I have over 80+ games played with him and have made several builds with him but this is my favorite to use.
This is my First guide on MOBAfire so please if you have any comments or suggestions about my build please leave a comment. Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy.

Pros

Great damage soaker
Good damage
Ultimate makes him one of the beefiest champs in the
game
Has great heals
Becomes a force to be Reckoned with if allowed the chance to be fed

Cons

Doesn't have the Best defense's
has no REAL escape
requires a lot of practice to master

The runes are pretty basic AD runes give early and mid game dominance.
Armor seals for defense since Renekton is not an official tank he's an

OFF-TANK

Glyphs are preferential I like to have magic resist since I'm on the front lines of the team but if you like to have CDR then so be it, since it works very well for Renekton

The items that Renekton use's in my opinion are health and damage, very rarely will I get Black Cleaver, but if you want to get attack speed items you won't have the beefiness that you will need to survive team fights, with this build once you pop Dominus and Youmuu's Ghostblade it will be very easy to take out the squishie's and even some tanks. With some of the items its dependent on what you are facing. If the other team has a fed ap carry get Merc treads and Force of nature instead of Zeke's Herald, for a fed AD carry get thorn mail or Randuin's Omen. Zeke's Herald is what I PERSONALLY get the last item is personal choice. The main items in my personal opinion are Frozen mallet, Sunfire Cape, and Youmuu. For most people it would be to get atmas as quickly as possible due to it being very good with Renekton's ulti. Most of the time I cant get that far with my build since the other team will surrender or I will not get fed enough to have atmas along with my other two main items.

Other items to consider

Damage

Blood Thirster60 Attack Damage, 12 Life Steal. Passive: Gain an additional 1 Physical Damage and 0.2% Lifesteal per kill. Maximum of +40 Damage and 8% Lifesteal. Bonuses are halved upon death.

This is a great Damage item if extremely fed, use this as a replacement of Zekes Herald, or Youmuu's if you wish. Has amazing Lifesteal which will not only make you way harder to kill but will allow to get triple's much easier.

Last Whisper40 Attack Damage. UNIQUE Passive: +40% Armor Penetration

If you want a replacement for Youmuu's or are trying to be a tank killer this is a great item to get, Last Whisper plus Black cleaver can reduce the armor of most carries to pretty much nothing. Which is great for Renekton who will be focusing on the enemy carry and shredding them.

Black Cleaver55 Attack Damage, 30 Attack Speed. UNIQUE Passive: Physical attacks reduce your target's Armor by 15 for 5 seconds, (maximum 3 stacks).

A great item to use in raplacement for Youmuu's or Zeke's Herald has great Damage and Attack speed i usually get this on a carry but if sometimes I will get this on Renekton just so i can shred and Apposing carry or tank.

Armor/Defense

Randiun's Omen75 Armor, 350 Health, 25 Health Regeneration. UNIQUE Passive: 5% Cooldown Reduction and 20% chance on being hit to slow the attacker's movement and attack speed by 35% for 3 seconds. UNIQUE Active: Slows movement speeds and attack speeds of surrounding units by 35% for 2 seconds + 0.5 seconds for each 100 Armor and Magic Resist. 60 second cooldown

This is a great item if you want to have more armor and health to replace Sunfire cape or if you want more armor against a fed AD carry. The CDR is excellent for Renekton and the active is a VERY good debuff to put on the enemy team.

Force of Nature40 Health Regeneration, 76 Magic Resistance, 8 Movement Speed Multiplier. UNIQUE Passive: Restores 1.75% of your champion's maximum health per 5 seconds

One of my Favorite Items to get, gives alot of MR movement speed, HP regen, and the passive is very good. This along with Frozen mallet and Atamas will make you very hard to kill.


With the Skill Sequence it's very self explanatory.

Passive

Reign of Anger

this is a good passive since it does come in handy at times. He gains more fury with his attack's, all his attacks go off of fury so it benefits his healing dmg and his ultimate as well, which not directly but sort of like a bonus of sorts I guess.

Q. Cull the Meek

This to me, is what makes Renekton unique. Not only does this deal damage, but it heals a great amount when you are in a team fight. Cull the Meek also does a great amount of damage which in some cases I've seen it throw off a few people.

W. Ruthless Predator

Renekton's bread and butter skill. A team fight starts, you slice in use Ruthless predator on a carry, cull the meek dice out, you have just shutdown the enemy team in under 5 secs.
Early game I have seen this ability take out quarters of health from tanks even, like Volibear, and Shen.

E. Slice and Dice

This is why I do not get flash, since this allows you to go the same distance with a much shorter cooldown. Slice to someone hit them a few times dice away, easy as hell.

Q.Dominus

What some people call the Nasus Ultimate rip-off, is one of the best ultimate's in the game for dueling someone. There have been so many occasion's where i will be ganked I wait till I get to half health, pop Dominus, and get a free double kill, then listen to the rage as I get fed.

In Ranked Renekton is the beast of all tops since his sustain is so great. I personally have Beaten Rumble, Nasus, Akali, Olaf, Shen, Lee sin, Hecarim, and even other Renekton, during non-ranked play of course lol, afterward asking me how can I improve on what to do.
Another thing to think about doing in ranked play is helping the jungle out and ganking mid when possible.
During Team Fights your job with this build is provide a lot of AOE damage and killing the carries as quickly as possible. Also to be a tank for the rest of the team incase the tank dies or the tank is not present in a turret push or dragon push.

When in the Lane-Phase try to harass the enemy at every opportunity, when they go to last hit use Cull the Meek to deter them. If you are like me I like to duel whomever I'm facing whenever possible. E>W>Q>E

will be your order of attack's. If you back off, or he begins to chase you after you've harassed him, kill him if you can. One thing to Remember Renekton can not and will never be like tryndamere so do not try to be like one, what I mean is wait until a team fight is done to go and do something for the team.
