Hello everyone, my name is Ostrich Senpai and was S5 Gold 2 and S4 Silver 4 on EUW. You may recall me from my lucian guide not that long ago. Here I am to change your world with this in-depth guide for Kog'Maw. Kog'Maw is a really fun and versatile adc, bruiser and support. As with lucian and Annie, it was love at first sight. His kit is really good against tanks and high HP champions. I played him 2 whole games, so I got a good feeling about this useful, totally meta champion. So without further ado...here comes my Kog!

So for runes you just take the regular ones, nothing special. But with the masteries i tried a lot of things and came to the conclusion that this is the best way compensate for the little flaws Kog'Maw has. For ferocity I like to take Vampirism over Natural Talent because of Kog'Maw already has an amazing late game. Also it's too boost the lifesteal of your BotRK since it doesn't have a lot of it.
As for the Cunning tree, movement speed allows you to be more mobile and I took Assassin because my support is always afk gg(and I always have the useless jungler). Even though I'm a huge fan of the 45% CDR , it really isn't that great for Kog'Maw imho.

His early game isn't as bad as Draven's, but also not that good as Vayne's. So your playstyle depends on your opponent and your support(if he/she isn't afk). Watch out if the enemy have a shaco support. They tend to do a lot of damage. Just try to get your Cull stacks and GG you have a little bit more gold, for little to no sustain! Cull is a must have starting item. Pro's never seem to use it and I think they just never read the patch notes on new items.

Just farm and try to secure every kill(even though fed everyone in the enemy.)

Late game you're still gonna flash in for you passive. It deals %health max true damage and otherwise you won't get kills or assists. Report support and jungle after the game because they didn't peel GG.
