Why hello there, and welcome to my first Mobafire guide on Thresh, the Chain Warden.

First of all this is no serious guide, so do not expect any fancy mancy stuff. It's just for fun! If you enjoy this, I'll hope you give me some props, but anyway; have fun rading!

Greater Quintessence of Health is back on the main spot, baby! With the new Pre-Season 4 update, gold is now the least of your problems as a support! As such, you can afford to ditch the 3 Greater Quintessence of Gold for something a bit more... defensive. The benefit should be plainly obvious: Lets you take more punishment, and 75HP in the beggining is quite an important factor!
9 Greater Mark of Armor and 9 Greater Seal of Armor to help mitigate Damnation's side effect, as well as help you overall at the lane. If you want another viable offensive option for marks, get 9 Greater Mark of Attack Damage to benefit from Flay's passive much more early game
9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist generally to tank those ap carries mid-late game.

The Masteries are no classic 0/9/21 or 0/21/8 setup. I'll take a variation of a tanky masterie setup to ensure you a fun laning-phase, and a chilly milly mid game.Nothing fancy, just a bit Armour, Magic Resist and Health to make your life sweeter.

The Item build varies, like it does for every champion, in different situations. Here we have the classic build for a tanky-support Thresh. The Sightstone and the Talisman of Ascension are a main core item for any support, but the Locket of the Iron Solari and the Sunfire Cape + Abyssal Scepter are exchangeable and you are free to chose any item you prefer over those. Those are just my personal favorites and I pretty much ensure you that if you buy those, you'll have an easy game.

I max Dark Passage (W) first to get a reliable and relatively high shield.
I max Death Sentence (Q) last, because the cooldown and the damage are the only things changing while you upgrade it.Flay (E) is maxed second because the high bonus damage on your auto attacks helps in fights early on. I level up The Box (R) at level 6, 11 and 16 (duh...).

I'll take the standart Spells Flash and Exhaust. Flash is obvious because 90% of the LoL-Community uses it and it is pretty usefull for them flash-hooks which will secure you and your Marksman some kills. The second spell, Exhaust, is a good choice for early fights and I highly recommend it. Ghost is a pretty decent choise, but I'd rather stick with flash.
