Introduction To Jax // The Grand Master At Arms
Hey all, I'm a somewhat veteran player of LoL, and I decided to write up this guide for Jax because I believe he's one of the strongest picks for most platforms of the game. This is how my guide is going to work
Part 1: I'm going to talk to the noobs. If you have no idea who Jax is, this is for you.
Part 2: I'm going to talk about technical stuff like runes and masteries, items, and how to lane a little. This is still for noobs, but people who already play Jax will benefit.
Part 3: Counter picking for ranked and playing in level 30 normal matches. This is for people who aren't n00bs and who want to be more competitive.
I AM WRITING THIS GUIDE BECAUSE I THINK OTHER JAX GUIDES ARE JUST STUPIDLY LONG FOR NO REASON. IF YOU WANT A GUIDE THAT YOU CAN READ IN LIKE 20 MINUTES AND UNDERSTAND, HERE YOU GO.
Who is Jax? - Abilities?
((Jax)) is a melee duelist who specializes in using both magic damage and physical damage. Jax can be built three different ways depending on your play style:
1) Hybrid Jax (This is how I play Jax most of the time)
2) AD Jax
3) AP Jax (Very good for Dominion)
All the different Jax builds are viable depending one what champions your team has and what champions the enemy team has.

Every time Jax performs an autoattack, he gains 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 % attack speed. This buff lasts for 2.5 seconds and stacks up to 6 times.
His passive makes him attack super fast if you can build up enough stacks. This passive is good for both AP Jax and AD Jax, which I will get to in a sec. Just remember passive = attacking fast.

Jax leaps towards a target, dealing 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+0.6 per ability power) (+1.0 per bonus attack damage) physical damage if the target is an enemy.
Jax's gap closer. You can cast this on both enemies to initiate fights, or allies to run like a little girl. The important thing to note about this ability is that it does physical damage, even though it scales with AP. So your AP gets converted into physical damage.
Jax's next autoattack or Leap Strike deals additional 40 / 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 (+0.6 per ability power) magic damage. This ability resets the autoattack timer.
This is where a majority of Jax's damage comes from. It's important to use this ability whenever possible during 1v1 duels. Also, make sure to always use this directly after you use an auto attack because it will reset your auto attack timer.

Jax dodges all incoming attacks for the next 2 seconds and stuns all enemies for 1 second after that time. You can end the ability after 1 second by pressing E. You take 25% damage reduction from AOEs. The ability does 20% bonus damage per auto attack dodged, up to a cap of 100% extra damage.
Ok, long description... Know that you take less damage from AOE abilities, and you can dodge auto attacks. Each auto attack dodges grants more damage to this ability. You want to use this when you
