The entire guide is really lackluster. As it is right now its quite literally just a glorified build not worthy of being called a guide. There is none of the indepth information that the top tier guides provide. Which begs the question "Why read this when i could be reading something so much better?" (part of it really isn't really your fault this site is essentially a competition for +rep... also why i never use this site.). But since you insist on posting on this site if you want to be successful your going to have to aim at the very top anything short of that will not only be dismissed as inferior, but will encourage people to constantly churn out low quality guides that will (imo) run this site into the ground.

So back to the guide at hand, you really need to improve the quality of your guide, look at the top rated guides on this site and compare them OBJECTIVELY with your guide, i know from experience that this is a very hard thing to do, (esp for someone with your crazy *** ego). But i advise you to take action, and take action quickly because what i am seeing right now is something that is gonna get down-vote bombed into rating hell (good luck climbing outta there).

Now allow me to educate you on the main failing point of this guide, the fact that it isn't even a guide. The main selling point of a guide is the details on farming, laning, team-compositions, counters, and performance during teamfights. take those out and its not more usefull than the builds in the build-only section of this site.

However this guide's details on the most important part of a champ (team combat) is quite literally one very vague and undescriptive paragraph. You didn't even cover the intricate art of positioning during a teamfight. you just said stay behind tank, consider your audience, most of the people who read guides are relatively newer players looking for a fun champ to play. They couldve only previously had experience playing as a tank and they wont know **** about how to play a ranged ad carry, and its your responsibility as a guide author to educate them. Sure you can feed this guide to someone who has played ranged ad before but then... whats the point? They already know this stuff, again it comes back to the question "Why read this when i could be reading something so much better?". There needs to be a reason for me to want to read this 71% guide over the 91% one. And so far i'm not seeing one.

I know this was rather painful for you to read (don't lie to yourself or me it hurts reading this, and if it really truly didn't... you really should not be writing guides because you obviously don't care or understand the concept quality and standards). If this was anyone else i would not even bother wasting 2 seconds of my life as to even reply i would just vote-bomb it, leave a small snippet and leave. But as your friend i want you to succeed and i am providing you my advice to creating high professional grade content that would have a highly viable chance of competing with the absolute TOP of this site. You can choose to ignore it and continue with amateur results until u realize these things for yourself, or you can accept it and become a real high tier contribute to the community, your choice. I could say more (and believe me, i want to) but its getting rather long winded and if your not paying attention by now your not gonna pay any more attention to any further things i have to say. I wish you the best of luck...

Basically he could have just said "needs more information on team fights" and accomplished the same level of criticism. It's kinda sad that he resorted to practically flaming your guide for reasons I'm unaware of.

Guide is fine, it doesn't need more aesthetics, or in depth detail, it's fine the way it is.

Some people don't want to write long *** pieces of work like that, and it's up to them. Build is solid and guide is solid anyways so there is literally NOTHING to complain about.

I'm not even sure it would get any better if he did include walls of text about ****.

I suppose it doesn't really matter one bit. If the community approves this as the highest standard, who am i to say different? All i can say is, this is far below my standards. Normally i don't care and i rarely come to this site anyway except when one of my closer friends decicde to post something on this site. i've repped moonedge several times, commented on his guides and upvoted them before, why? Because they were good, they deserved my time and that upvote.

But this time i was disappointed by the quality of a guide written by a friend of mine, so naturally i want to take the time to point out some things about quality of content. I would be sorely pissed off if one of my best LoL buddies became an ******* who ***** out really bad guides in the hopes of grabbing rep+.

@searzocom: Guides aren't tools to get Rep (there isn't even a +Rep button on the guide, you have to find a post), and I don't know a single person who writes a guide with that intention in mind. Night and I are far from the highest Rep on the site; I think Moon was just happy to get some more attention on his guide with more than "+1 nice guide" in the comments.

I do think you're right, searzocom, about the gist of your wall of text. You said that Moon needed to work on adding more detail, more information besides just the build, namely gameplay strategies, team fights and positioning. There's nothing wrong with giving criticism like that, especially when it's true and constructive.

I just think you could have been a lot more objective and straightforward with your criticism. It's fine to say you're disappointed with the guide, whether it's to a friend or not. The way you presented your argument basically said that his guide was doomed to utter failure and he is basically filling the site with **** on purpose.

I just think that was unnecessary.
