Wukong, jungle king
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to this build to learn how to carry your team with the monkey king in his natural habitat. It's quite simple once you get it.
The lifesteal quints are the most important, don't try to play wukong jungle without theese. I really advice you to take these runes without changing them. Wukong is really squishy in early game, so don't think scaling magic resist glyphs will be enough in the beginning.
These masteries are not really usual for a jungler, but wukong isn't a usual jungler. They provide a good amount of damage in early levels, to gank as soon as possible.
Once you get completely stuffed, don't forget to sell back the spirit of the elder lizard to get the guardian angel. It will be very useful in jungling and getting kills/assists. Also, it will add nice damage to your e skill.
This skill sequence is the only possible one while playing wukong jungle. The e isn't mana hungry, and is the best skill to jungle in early levels.
Flash is the really best option with wukong, and smite is not an option, you have to take it.
Pros / Cons
- Not too hard to play - Item reliant
- Abble to carry easily - No control, without his ultimate
- Perfect ult for teamfights - Really too squishy
- Fast and proper ganks thanks to w e combo.
Creeping / Jungling
Wukong is really squishy in early level, still, it's not a reason to wait 20 minutes to make your first gank. If the ennemy jungler is starting at blue, then, go for red. if it's the opposite, go for blue. Once it's done, go to your opposite buff, get your level 3 with wolves or wraiths if you didn't get it yet, and then, gank at mid. Midlanners tend to be squishy, so make it the most of damage possible, and try to get the kill. Don't be too greedy, a turret hit could kill you with your half life. Don't mind if the midlanner flames you, he'll thank you later. Then listen to your mates and help them a bit, jungling in a random order until the buff you stole fades away. Take your one, and, if you are low health, go back. Then jungle until you hit six. You can both take the second blue or let it to the midlanner, but taking it is better for you, because ganks are mana hungry. When you hit six, use your ultimate to gank the champ who's got the best escape OR to gank on botlane if it is correctly pushed by the ennemy team. Never forget to use the Q before the ultimate.
In late game, if you didn't get fed, jungle as much as possible, and just continue to build in a normal way. Use the clone to avoid a maximum of control, and to make it wasted. It is really useful against characters like ryze or malzahar, if you place the clone well. This clone often determines if the fight is won or lost, even more than the ultimate.
If you have no blue, NEVER use the q to farm in your jungle. It's too mana hungry, because of it's low cooldown.
