Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
True Grit - Graves gets tanky every second he's in battle. You can 1v1 enemy ADCs and stuff.
Buckshot - This does a lot of damage.
Smoke Screen - Used to slow down chasing enemies or chasing down your enemies or making their CSing more difficult.
Quickdraw - You shoot fast and get away fast. It's awesome.
Collateral Damage - This is a nuke. Nukes do a lot of damage. Great for securing the kill if they're slightly out of range. Normally use E to get closer then nuke them.
Basically, you can't win a lane by yourself unless the enemy laners are Wood tier level and are completely awful at making proper judgments. Support is (ARGUABLY) the most important position to me besides junglers because of the sustain and wards and the other boring **** they have to do to win games. This is all from personal experience of who I like to have as a support with Graves and who I don't like.
Good Supports with Graves:
Taric OP w/ Graves - remember that Taric players!
Bad Supports with Graves:
21/0/9 - Buff duration is more important than +30 health. That 30 health means nothing late game.
Greater Mark of Attack Damage - Last hitting gets a lot easier with this and you do more damage in early trades.
Greater Seal of Armor - best tank na
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist - best tank na
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage - yay damage
In-Depth (sorta kinda) on situational items
Infinity Edge - Infinity Edge is good for doing tons of damage.
Last Whisper - Last Whisper is good for armor stacking teams like Taric or Garen or some OP champ like that. You still do a lot of damage, just minus the crit chance and extra crit damage.
Blade of the Ruined King - BoRK really isn't an item for Graves, but you can use it on super tanky teams.
Zephyr - If your entire build is finished and you're not getting the clear advantage yet, both teams don't know how to finish a game first off. Secondly, you can sell your boots for a Zephyr. You'll lack a little movement speed compared to before but it gives crazy boosts.
Guardian Angel - If you can't seem to stay alive this item is perfect for you. Late game ADC's job is to inflict a lot of damage on everything around you and stay alive. It's so important to stay alive. Damage revolves around you.
Quicksilver Sash - Awesome against Amumu and heavy CC late game. Amumu ult? Well **** you.
Statikk Shiv - Very rarely will you use something like this, but if they're always bunched together as a team, this could come in handy. Be smart when choosing between this and PD.
Never play ADC without Flash.
Secure the kill.
Barrier is awesome against most enemy ADC ults like Caitlyn and MF. It gives you enough of a shield to escape without dying. Dying is bad.
Buy a Sash instead.
All other spells aren't worthy of being mentioned.
How do I even ADC?
You can't just use this guide and expect to own every game. You've got to do your part too. I don't have any tips to give since that's not what this guide was meant for but you can watch this video if you're looking to become a better ADC in general.
