Loved your guide, although I don't play AP Poppy. But I'd buy Hextech Gunblade instead of Deathfire Grasp, 'cause it gives you more AP , and gives AD too, wich is rly good for her Q, and Hextech's Active is great too, I love to use it . Anyway, it's just me. And your guide is great, good job. xD You could argue that hextech would give more sustain aswell as providing some much needed slow, although i haven't been able to test it out for real with actual numbers (since im kinda lazy and there's alot of math involved), but as of now, DFG is a must in mid/late game otherwise the carries will not die. |

Well, I rly don't know wich one is better, i used DFG once for Lux, and I didn't find it useful, but it can be different for Poppy. But I play AD Poppy, and Hextech gives me Life Steal, wich is rly great . But this is an AP build, so I don't even know what I'm doing here xD |

But this is an AP build, so I don't even know what I'm doing here xD Main differences between AP and AD poppy is as followed: AP gives burst AD gives sustained damage AD is not as useful in 5v5 due to tanky dps with loads of CC AD is useful in 3v3 because of your sustained damage, combined with less targets to manevour and your ultimate. AP is useful in 5v5 because of the importantness of carries and your ability to take them out quick. Conclusion: AD for 3v3, AP for 5v5. |

It might be true, I always play better in Twisted Treeline. |

Really good Guide, but I dont think leveling Q beyond 2 is useless, since the CD shrinks with every lvl and a little more bonus dmg also helps. |

Still I think on AP Poppy youre right probably, on AD I´d max out Q first. As AD you will not shine that much early on (except for 3v3), seeing as though you will be able to Q-E and Q again rather quickly, the sustained damage comes later on, as you recieve more and more items, therefore it makes your dps shrink if you start lvl'ing Q over E, mainly because of the fact that a Q-E x2 is better than Q-E-Q, and you should be able to pull of Q-E x2 if 1on1'ing and if you're ganking someone or having a team fight Q-E should be enough and thus you're lvl'ing a spell for some CD you don't really need at that point of the game. Remember AP carries shine alot in early team fights, as does poppy. AD carries shines alot more when farmed up, same with ad poppy. |

cant you upgade you philosofers stone to get the tenacity and buy other boots if you want? and would it not be better to buy a trinity force so you get 150% extra dmg insted of 100%? |

You're saving up a spot for tenacity, which you can get away with just from the boots. The 150% extra damage comes from basic AD, while the 100% comes from total AP. Do i need to say more? :) |

Tried Poppy in a co-op game. It was pretty aweful (even though winning was easy, I found I took too much harassment from the bots which made it very risky to engage when teams initiated each other). Any idea if she'd make a good jungler? It would remove the laning difficulty and Q/E seems like it would be tailored for counter-jungling. An AD Poppy build might be preferred for the easy access to life steal, but it was a thought that crossed my mind as I tried to find solutions for the issues I found on my brief trial. |
