Items

Ahh, the beloved Merc treads. I get merc treds with Akali because of the magic resist but with the added Tenacity it alows you to escape easier if you havnt already escaped with Twilight Shroud

Rageblade isn't essential but i like to get it because of the attack damage and ability power it helps a lot to her passive

A lot of people who use Akali get a Long Sword to start out with for the 10 AD and the activation of her passive, Or some people might get an Amplifying Tomb to activate the other part of her passive. But most people will activate her passive with runes, and if you are lucky you can. But i like to get Doran's Blade to start because if u look at it the long sword gives u 10 AD BUT the Doran's Blade gives you 10 AD, 100 HP, 3% Lifsteal, the only downfall is you cant buy any HP pots but if u buy a Long Sword you can, Sooooo the choice is yours Long Sword or Doran's Blade?

Just like jax the Hextech Gunblade was made for akali, i get it because it passively gives spell vamp, it gives an ideal amount of AD and AP. But the passive spell vamp is what i love the most about it, it basically gives akali MAD spell vamp because of her passive.

Now, This item is very good tool for killing it conveniently gives AP and HP, HP is something lacks a bit so this item may help a bit, and MORE AP!!! Whats better then more AP????? I mean KFC is pretty good but AP is just as good right? Lets talk about this passive slow! A combination of the slow from the Scepter and the slow from Twilight Shroud is ideal it should slow down your enemy long enough to get a killing blow :) unless the little bastard flashes away haha.

I recommend Lich Bane in ANY Akali build if you are trying to go for lots of burst damage, use this for instance: You mark your enemy and then Shadow dash towards them, the lich banes passive kicks in increasing your next auto attack by 100% so when you consume that mark the enemy gets HAMMERED with Magic Damage, Attack Damage YOU NAME IT.

The almighty Deathcap everyones favorite. A lot of times you wont be able to get it, i put it last because it isn't essential its just an item to help mow down enemies faster than you already do. Just like all of the other AP items with Akali it makes your passive do more then it already does!

Runes

These are used to help activate her passive Twin Disciplines And will also increase the damage of Crescent Slash (E)

These give you 5 AP to that means 3 of them will activate the AP portion of Twin Disciplines and 15 AP early game will help out alot

Just like Greater Mark of Attack Damage's its helps increase the AD portion of Twin Disciplines and extra AD early game helps alot

I like to get Greater Quintessence of Ability Power's because just Greater Seal of Ability Power's arnt enough having 2 AD based runes and only 1 set of AP based runes I feel that using AP quints are essential

ALTERNATE RUNES

Greater Seal of Vitality You may Switch these out for Greater Seals of Potency's if you want more survivability as you level up and a bit more health early game to help lock in that First Blood

You can switch these out for Greater Mark of Attack Damage's if you wish to be able to kill faster. Its kind of like having Sorcerer's Shoes just without the move speed.

Summoner Spells

Flash and ignite are a great combo! Flash will help you to flash and catch up to an enemy and or flash away or over a wall to escape from an incoming gank or just to run away.

You can substitute Exhaust for Flash if you would like. Exhaust is useful because it slows enemies and GREATLY reduces their AD and AP, Sometimes ill pop exhaust onto an enemy in the middle of a 1v1 just to lower there damage output

COMBO BREAKER!

NORMAL COMBO

Throw this in whenever in the combo i like to throw it in right after Shadow dance.

1. Hit the enemy first with your Mark of the Assassin then let the cooldown refresh and make the enemy think your going to back off.
2. Once the cooldown of Mark of the Assassin is refreshed dive in with your Shadow Dance and consume the mark.
3. Exactly after Shadow Dance Throw another Mark of the Assassin onto the enemy.
4. After you have thrown the 2nd Mark of the Assassin use Crescent Slash and then pop down a Twilight Shroud .
5. Just keep continuing this combo until you successfully kill the enemy.

Early Game

Early Game:

Start out with your choice of a Doran's Blade or a Longsword (Preferably Doran's Blade). Then head to your lane. Last hit minions and farm. Dont play so aggressive until you can do your combo for quick burst damage. If you are using Ignite you will have a better chance at getting first blood. By the time you B you should be able to buy your Mercury's Treads and maybe a Blasting Wand.

Mid Game

Mid Game:

At this point you should have the following items, . hopefully you have the Hextech Gunblade and or working on it. By now you should be able to initiate a 1v1 and win...easily. Keep using that combo that i showed you in the 'COMBO BREAKER' Chapter :D. Start to push a bit harder when you get your Hextech Gunblade.

Late Game

Late Game:

By now you should have the following items, , and be working on getting your Rabadon's Deathcap. Maybe this game isn't going in your favor and your still working on getting your Rylai's Crystal Scepter But either way you should still be a threat to the opposing team. If you have the Rabadon's Deathcap you SHOULD dominate, Pushing is your main focus at this point, PUSH , PUSH ,PUUUUSH.
