Actually all of your above examples is, and should be, more effective using pings. I have noticed players will listen more to pings, if you don’t spam, then to chats. If they don't listen to pings then they have terrible communication skills to begin with.

completely agree with you, sometimes thought some players can be so insufferable that you are forced to mute them

Personally, I think that muting everyone since the very beggining is a TERRIBLE idea. I never want to get to the point of muting people, since communication by chat is more effective than pings. Muting everyone is really bad for communication. No communication = no cooperation = more chances of losing games due to the lack of teamwork. I could go on with the list of disadvantages of muting, (no communication when ganking, warn split-pushing teammate about a gank, jungler giving blue to mid, etc.)
Muting IS bad, but it silences ragers, blamers etc. It has its pros and cons.

yeah i completely agree with you, majority of the time the best thing to say is something along the lines of "i don't find your attitude to be positive [insert champion here] i am going to mute you for [x] amount of time

Not everyone is high ELO; so its normal to find people that have bad communication skills. It's like there are lost of more people en brinze and silver than in higher tier leagues
