Hey there this is my first time creating a guide for a league of legends champion. I became a big fan of Shyvana probibly at the same time as any other player did, when M5 picked her up and brought up a completly different level of counter jungling. She could play as a solo top but today I'd like to focus on her force in jungle which is mainly focused on her high mobility and ability to clear her jungle and puting the opositions jungler behind as much as possible. She has recently fell out of favour as tanky junglers such as Alistar, Malphite and Maoki with very powerful ganks are in fashion but in my opinion Shyvana can take out any jungler if played well. Pros- One of the fastest junglers in game
- Great counter jungler
- Huge damage
- Quite tanky in team fights
- Great mobility
- Vary good at farming
Cons- No CC
- Weak at ganking
- Very item dependant
Greater Seal of Resistance (+1.41 armor) is the base for the Shyvana's jungle which with the defensive masteries allows her to go trough the jungle with out major problem.
Greater Glyph of Shielding (+0.15 MR per lvl, +2.7 at lvl 18). This + your Mercury's Treads, Witt's End, Guardian Angel ,Masteries and your ultimate will provide you a huge protection against enemies AP carries in team fights.
Greater Mark of Strenght (+0.95 AD) helps you clear out the jungle faster as well as improves ganks.
Greater Quintessence of Vampirism (+2% life steal) helps you to survive in the jungle as Shyvana especially at the start might fall quite low in her jungle.
9/21/0 is the best way in my opinion to run this dragon trough the jungle. Taking 9 points in offensive tree, improves her damage, exhaust which i like to run for strong ganks, and her attack speed which is great for her passive. 21 points in the defensive tree really help her survive as long in the jungle as posible (increasing her armor and health) as well as increases her speed in the jungle with 3 points in Initiator as her early ganks are not to strong.
*** you can also run 21/9/0 on her but i do not recomend it as she falls way too low at the early stages of her jungle.
Shyvana is a very dependent on her items. Every build should be based on a Frozen Malet and Witt's end/Madred's Bloodrazor depending on the opponent. You should always start with boots and 3 pots on her to maximize her jungle speed followed by a vamparic scepter to improve sustain and heart of gold which later will turn into Randuin's Omen and helps build towards those late game items with the passive gold per 5. Wriggles is also a must on Shyvana with an ability to proc twice on her Q in helps out greatly in stealing buffs ,clearing objectives like Baron and Dragon and a ward which increases your safety with counter jungling. You should build your Mercury's Treads after wriggles unless the other team is very dependent on ADs than Tabis is of course the better choice and less expensive. Phage is a very important item on Shyvana as with out red she has no CC. It greatly improves her ganking presence and as well as turns into the most important Frozen Mallet. Witt's end is an absolute destroyer on Shyvana with the double proc on Q combined with Bloodrazor later on makes Shyvana an absolute beast destroying oppositions AD carries. The attack speed is huge as it makes Shyvana especially efective. Omen is an excelent defensive item on Shyvana. Hoping to the back of their team and droping it on their AD carry taking him out quickly with your Witt's End/ Bloodrazor combo. The last item is an item of choice depending on the team comp of enemies. I love Guardian angel on her but items like Sunfire Cape or Force of Nature are realy good items on this champion.
*** Another build I have explored recently was a Mercury Treads/Tabis ->Wriggles ->Phage ->Triforce ->Warmogs ->Atmas ->IE. I have not yet tried it out yet but i will let you know how efective it is as soon as i try it out.
*** Another thing is
Maxing the W for obvious reasons (the huge AoE for jungle clearing/ movement speed for improved ganks and counter jungling). Second ability to max should be Q with that great double-hit dmg and improved CD. E a hard to land skill shot but very rewarding with E+Q combo being very efective. Of course max Ult at 6/11/16.
Smite- A must on jungler,
Exhaust- For improved ganks,
Flash- If you expect to have probles escaping the enemies but usually ult is enough.
Clense- good option against a heavy CC team helps out greatly with hoping on that AD carry at the back.
Shyvanna is probibly the best counter jungler in the league with one of the fastest clearing speeds in the game. Her disrouption in team fights is huge and so is her dmg with her main job being droping the enemy carries in her tanky dragon form. Hope you enjoy it and it brings you succes.
