Introduction
The baby dragon is an epic card unlocked very early in the game. It is an underused card but has more potential than commonly understood.
On offense, a strong push would be lava hound + baby dragon + inferno dragon/mega minion. They are all flying troops so no troop is more vulnerable than another and is resistant to the biggest counter of most flying pushes - minions and minions hoard. The baby dragon is able to quickly and efficiently take out the minions. Other pushes could include PEKKA + baby dragon or Giant Skeleton + baby dragon which can be effective because troops such as a skeleton army will not be able to hit the baby dragon unlike troops such as the bomber who can die to a skeleton army even with splash damage.
On defence, the baby dragon is very situational and you should know what times to use it and when not. When defending, elixir efficiency is key and wasting 4 elixir on an unnecessary baby dragon. Baby dragon is effective when it comes to troops such as goblins because it can take them out quickly but it can easily be distracted by a tank such as a giant. The baby dragon should only be used on defence when there are swarm cards involved because it will be ineffective to many generic pushes (for example, the giant + wizard push).
- On offence, always keep it behind a tank.
- Only use it to defend when they have large swarm (e.g. goblins) or if they have nothing to target air troops.
- When making a push, try to keep the baby dragon as close to the side of the arena as possible to make it harder to be baited by buildings.
- Always try to keep the baby dragon in your hand if they have minions or minion hoard so you are ready to counter
btw mods if you see this and want to remove it pls contact me first so i can save it somewhere and post is somewhere else because i spent lots of time on it ;(
