Chapter 1

What you want to do first is purchase the mana regen item that's on his recommended item list, and a health potion, for better laneing at the beginning of the match. Urgot can either solo mid or lane with another champion, depending on whether a teammate wants to mid or not. One of the biggest things to stress is that urgots acid seeker AUTOMATICALLY locks on to targets that are poisoned by his barrel. At level two, you wan to put a point into the barrel so you can easily poison targets, then chase them down while firing acid hunters. At level 3, you put another point into acid hunter, so you can have more damage. Once you reach level 4, you put a point into the shield for it's slowing effect. The biggest problem with urgot once you have his three abilities is mana, so make sure you don't spend too much chasing someone down. And time you have an opening, the best thing to do is to launch a poison barrel, put up your shield, and chase enemies down while firing auto-lock acid hunters. While urgot's shield is up, and enemies he hits with the acid seeker are slowed, along with his normal attacks, so you want to get at least one shot in, as slowing down any enemy will give your team the chance to catch up. Urgot's biggest problem is his low health and resistances. In most cases, a good gank would kill Urgot, which is why we have Ghost and Flash. Generally, ghost will be used to retreat through your own minions, and flash is used in the beginning to jump foreward and continue to hit enemy champions, while it's used later on to jump over terrain during attempted ganks, allowing you to escape with your life. One of Urgot's biggest, yet least used weapons is his ultimate. When you are chasing an enemy down, but you just can't seem to slow them enough, a well timed Ulti will not only suppress them for one second, but cause you to swap places with them, AND slow them for 3 seconds. If this weren't enough, you also gain magic resistance and armor, allowing you to take less damage from whoever you just swapped with. Switching places with people, or suppressing them and throwing them into your own turrets is a common and useful tactic. If the turret doesn't kill them, they generally have a very small amount of health, and should be able to be chased down easily enough.
