Introduction

Hello, I'm TVMan.

When I jungle one of the champions I consider is Master Yi. Master Yi should only be used when the other team is lacking in hard CC. (Stuns, Taunts, Snares, etc.)

The runes in this build are geared toward getting you through the jungle with the least amount of trouble, amd getting you the items that you need to be able to gank effectively. Glyph of Magic Resist gives you MR allowing you to gank an AP lane, or bot with a AP heavy support, without taking to much damage.

These Masteries will make clearing the jungle very easy, giving you armor, damage reduction, health regen, attack speed, bonus damage, and lifesteal.

Items

Item Sequence

Wriggle's Lantern
1800

Guinsoo's Rageblade
3600

Enchantment: Alacrity
450

Lich Bane
3200

Blade of the Ruined King
3400

Hextech Gunblade
3400
Starting Cloth Armor and 5x Health Potion gives you a far easier jungle than getting a Vampiric Scepter or boots.

Madred's Razors will allow even faster jungle clearing.

Berserker's Greaves increase the amount of procs you get from Madred's and allows for faster double strikes.

Wriggle's Lantern gives lifesteal allowing you to build health in the jungle when used with Meditate rather than going back to the base.

Building Pickaxe into Guinsoo's Rageblade gives your first AP boost and gives attack damage and speed that you need.

Sheen increases your AP and gives you a nice smack for your first activated Wuju Style and the attack right after Alpha Strike.

Bilgewater Cutlass gives more lifesteal and a slow to help you catch up to your target.

Hextech Gunblade gives a larger range on your slow and some spell vamp, which will cause your Alpha Strike to heal you.

Lich Bane gives more AP, some Magic Resist (Defenses!) and a stronger Sheen proc, it also gives a small amount of move speed.

Zeke's Herald will incease your very small health pool, and give you CDR for your skills, as well as attack speed and life steal.

Summoner Spells

Smite is required when jungling, it lets you clear so much faster. The bonus gold might seem small, but if you use smite at every opportunity it will build into a large bonus.

Cleanse will remove all CC from you, so when you get locked down by Lux you can cleanse and keep up the chase.

Flash's cool down is too long to let it be reliable, and you already have a Ghost but if you feel like you need the extra mobility, then either of these are good choices. Exhaust is another good choice, however the ability to escape from hard CC is far more valuable than a slow/damage reduction

Start with Wuju Style and Alpha Strike at one and two for faster jungling, Meditate at 4 for the healing and resistances. Then max Wuju Style because untill you build up some AP, Alpha Strike and meiditate are less usefull. Max Alpha Strike next for damage, and Meditate last to tank turrets, champions, creeps, dragon, baron, or anything else; or just to heal.

Level Highlander whenever possible for maximum ganking potential.

Jungling

Grab your starting items and head to Blue Gollum use Smite and the active from Wuju Style to kill it. Leash Optional. Then head to Wolves take a point in Alpha Strike and head to Wraiths then Double Gollums
Smite should be off cool down now so head to Red Lizard kill it and once again kill Wraiths then look for a lane to gank. Preferably mid or top. The run to bot can be made, but kill Wolves along the way. Dragon can be killed at level 6 if Smite, Wuju Style, Highlander, and life steal from Wriggle's Lantern are used.

Counter Jungling can be done easily on wraiths and wolves, with an Alpha Strike. However golems may take a few extra hits and they're fairly far into enemy territory so they are not a good idea for counter jungling unless you know you'll have the time to kill the big golem. Always make sure to kill the biggest creep at the camp to get the most gold and take their small amount of health. this will also make them wait longer if they are waiting for the max gold buff.

Summary

Building Yi in this way will give him AD where it shines, in the jungle killing monsters, and AP when he needs it. Alpha Strikeing his way around team fights and catching up to people, not to mention healing more than his total health pool.
