So I am a huge fan of Teemo because of his shrooms. They can be used late game with map awareness or early lane phase for the slow and damage. But when I first played Teemo I did not use his ultimate to the fullest, because I was told by a skilled friend of mine to go attack damage with attack speed. But now I think I understand Teemo more and his playing methods to bring you this build that has won me many games.
I know that I am building ability power for the most part but the armor penetration is so good for lane and last hits. Also since Teemo is so squishy I try to make a little harder to kill me in the beginning with armor and magic resist.
I personally like using tele, I know some people say only noobs use it, but it is great to leave lane and come back real quick to not lose too much experience. Now ignite is key to getting kills and getting fed, you have to be good with ignite and if you are in a lane with someone else you much tell them, "When I ignite we go for the kill, no matter what." Because it does damage and keeps the enemy from healing too much.
I dump most of my mastery points in offense so I can get the ability power masteries and the attack damage masteries maxed to do the most damage. I also pick up the teleport mastery for the cooldown.
So the items I build I think are great for multiple resons. One is the Doran's Blade, it is a great first item because the 100 life makes you less squishy, the damage helps and the life steal keeps you in lane. The malady is the most critical and there is a reason I get is second and not boots. I get it second because I usually can buy it right when I turn level 6. Now that is with two kills and good feeding off of minions which I understand is hard to do. But when you walk back into the lane with the Malady Teemo just turns over powered. I think it is because people do not think Teemo's poison does much damage but the Malady, first gives you ability power towards it, second gives you attack speed to try and get one last hit and third and the most important, brings down their magic resist to let the poison do more damage. The next item is awesome because of the active. I realize that buying the whole Hextech Gunblade that early could take a while so I like just getting the left side for the damage and the active. Now the Nashor's Tooth is an awesome item because it gives you four important things; ability power, attack speed, mana regen(which you desperately need), and the most important of all cooldown reduction so you can make shrooms faster. After that I like to finish the Hextech Gunblade which enhances the damage and active, and also gives you a good amount of life steal. Now after those four items you can buy anything if the game is still going. If you want to push buy more damage or if you want to set up nukes all over the map buy ability power to increase your shroom power. Either way is good.
Now every Teemo player should put a point in toxic shot any chance they get, we should all know that. What I do different is I like to try and put the most points I can into move quick the fastest I can because I get the Malady before the boots. So if your in a lane of ability powered champions that do not auto attack then do not put a point into blind till four or seven. But if your midding against an ashe or lane with tryn make sure to put a point into blind at level two or the latest level four.
