if you're going for the idea of hybrid sivir, which i have no problem with, then going for crits is self defeating. since hybrid sivir focuses on her q, which doesn't crit (line of crits? lololololol) and as a pusher/tower killer, crits won't proc on her Ricochet, her main pushing asset, or on towers. idea is good, crit idea was bad.

Nice build with good explanations. Not too sure about the Philosopher's Stone, but I don't play Sivir very often so what can I say.

Mostly, I just like my gold per 10 items. But I do find it works about on par with sivir. I play her lane pretty cautiously, and don't often need the extra health and damage. And furthermore, her Q damage is absurd, even without a dorans. I find I can farm more safely, and for longer with a philosopher's opening, than with a dorans opening, against most matchups. The health regen usually makes up for the 100 less health, and it's far better than the 3% life steal, this early in the game. And of course, the mana regen lets you spam and zone a little harder. But yes, when you break it down, the philosopher's stone is just a preference thing. Opening dorans or boots even, are both very viable starts.

@Whated:
Thanks! Yeah, I was pretty surprised when I didn't run across any hybrid sivir guides on mobafire -- at least among the top 10 guides. I used to be big on AD sivir, but i'm definitely liking this better at the moment. Thanks for the vote up :D

Well done, hybrid sivir is actually viable.

@Levidica: Thanks much! Yeah, I just kinda threw this down on 'paper' this morning. It's in an incredibly rough draft form. I'm definitely going to pretty it up and fix the flow of my sentences at some point soon.
The reason I took the Seals of Replenishment is because I find Sivir really doesn't end up needing any more mana regeneration by end game. I'll give the Clarity Seals a shot though. Might mix them with dodge Seals or some such, as well.
You should definitely give the build a shot, if the mood strikes. The items were my baseline for writing the guide any how.
Thanks for the input, again!
Cheers!

Hmm this guide is very interesting, I'm not a Sivir player myself but I do have a few friends that play her. It's odd because yesterday one of them was talking about her scaling, and that she does scale quite well on her AP. As for as the build goes, great job only thing I would say is this, rather than Seals of Replenishment I prefer Seals of Clarity they just scale better into mid and late game, plus by about level 6 they are on par with the mana gained from Replenishment at level 1.

When it comes to the guide, eh that's a different story. The only part that really kept my interest was the items portion. You gotta remember, a few key things about humans. Humans lose interest easily, so always be sure to include pictures of your own, maybe some humor, and color really. Other than that good job !

Keep working at it, you'll get there some day +1!

@Fox Rage: TY TY! Might change the Seals on the second build. Not sure if it needs the extra mana regen with a philosophers stone. I love my weird builds. This one actually took me by surprise. I was just messing around with Sivir. Hadn't played her in quite a while. But I find it all works quite well on her. Rageblade gives her scary attack speed and boomerang blade damage, and while most Sivir builds have you rush to a bloodthirster, I threw a cutlass in instead. You'll get it before the bloodthirster, and for almost identical returns. Just slightly less damage. But I feel the active more than makes up for that. Hope you enjoyed it if you tried it out!
Cheers!

Good guide for Sivir. I like your masteries and runes. Your items are weird, but god only know how much i love wierd way to play champions XD Plus, you explain everything in it, from the item choice to the laning phase, while going trought situational items. Great overall guide. Keep up the god work ^^
