Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Why Hello I didn't see you there! ... Lol jk i totally saw you there.
This is my first build on Mobafire and i wanted to put a lot of time and effort into this since well, its my first build! So please don't skip thumbs up/down let me know how i did!
This build has been updated/FIXED as of 9/16/2011
If you picked my guide of a league character that dies easily, and lowers your ELO; you have come to the wrong place. This guide is going to turn your Soraka into the following:
A Damage dealing Harasser, that is An A+ Farmer, that never has to leave the lane. A champion who can easily solo lanes, absorb tons of damage, and be a must have C.C asset in a team fights.
Items with Soraka.
A hard choice when you have a character than can basically build tanky beast, ability power destroyer, or a team saver. We manage to incorporate all of the aspects of Soraka into one!
Items wise its smart to start off with Mana Manipulator. The reason i choose Mana Manipulator. Well it will go into the build. Help your lane partner and give you the most MR for the price. After Grabbing Mana Manipulator its time to grab some Boots of Speed. You need boots of speed for getting back to your lane because if you cant lane long enough to grab Ionian Boots of Lucidity than you have to heal and get back to the lane FAST. After grabbing Ionian boots you can make a choice here. You can get a Blasting Wand if you need ability power A.S.A.P. Or the smarter move would to be to grab Amplifying Tome and work your way to Hextech Revolver. From Choosing ether blasting wand or amp tome build into your next item. Ether Rylai's Crystal Scepter or like i said, Will of Ancients. After picking up Rylais or Will of ancients pick up the one you haven't grabbed yet. If you picked Will of Ancients first grab Rylais if you picks Rylais first grab Will of Ancients. Next Your going to work on the build to get Soul Shroud, you already have mana manipulator. From there with all the mana you have it would be good to grab Rabadon's Deathcap. Now mana and mana regen should hold you over for the rest of the game. Now you blow whatever money you have left on ability power, you should grab Archangel's Staff.
You are going to have to acquire a large amount of currency.
Farming minions would be a good idea on how to get money fast. Feasting on the enemy monsters or minions using your Starcall to finish them off is a great way to get money.
Another great way is hitting enemy champions in a team battle. Grabbing the assist or sometimes even "accidentally kill stealing" isn't the worst idea. You can grab quick money in team fights when you just simply spam your Starcall.
Jungling is also a quick way to grab 60-120 gold at a time. If you making your way to your lane and notice that golems are up quickly take them out with your Starcall spam if its not going to hurt your jungler.
You obviously cannot jungle with Soraka. Some people are stupid enough to think everyone can jungle... "cough* phreak *cough*
Staying in your lane and gathering money and experience is vital for Soraka. She is made so that she can hold up in a lane for quite sometime with her abilities that give her/her teammates mana and health. NEVER USE INFUSE ON YOURSELF. It does not give you double mana. You will get the same as if you healed a teammate regardless if you use it on yourself. Basically if you keep your ground and stay somewhat to the back when you have lower health than you should be fine to stick in lane till you have 1200-1600 gold. Also dont forget Infuse does have a silence when used on other team. That can save you in the long run sometimes.
Stay in lane until your team is ether in a team fight or demands your help somewhere else. Ult when your ult is requested. Notice the constant spam of pings if you are not premade with your team. YOUR NOT A TANK EARLY GAME. Remember that. Soraka is pretty straight forward. Nothing to hard that i have to go into greater detail with after that said.
When entering a teamfight there is a strong chance that you will be targeted. Always keep track of your health when entering a teamfight. You are not tanky until late game. If targeted and dying fast, pop some heals and bail. If your team needs your ult use it. Next teamfight stay towards the back and let your team know if your suspecting a flank and to cover you.
If there is no problems in the teamfight start to spam your Starcall. If Rylai's is acquired you can provide combat control while lowing magic resistance of enemy targets. Use your Infuse and your Astral Blessing on anyone that requires it.
DO NOT USE INFUSE ON YOURSELF. UNLESS YOUR ALONE.
DO NOT TRY TO JUNGLE.
DO NOT TRY TO RUN INTO THE TEAMFIGHT TANKING AT A LOW LEVEL.
YOU ARE FRAGILE WHEN GANKED OR HIT BY HIGH DPS.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO BLOW MANA YOU CAN GET IT BACK EASILY.
ABILITY SPAMING YOUR STARCALL WILL LOWER ENEMY MAGIC RESISTANCE.
WHEN AT SUSTAINABLE HEALTH PUSH THE ENEMY CHAMPIONS AWAY FROM EXPERIENCE IN LANE.
DON'T TRY ANY **** AT LEVEL 1. YOU ARE USELESS.
WAIT TILL LEVEL 3 TO GET COCKY.
RYLAIS WILL SAVE YOUR *** RUNNING AWAY, USE INFUSE ON ENEMY TO SILENCE THAN YOUR STARCALL.
STACKS DON'T COME EASY THINK ABOUT TURRET DIVING IF YOUR AT 13 SOULSTEALER STACKS.
Masteries & Runes
Honestly... Idgaf if you change them. Or recommend any others in comments below. I will change them if i see anything better. Nothing much to say. Use them if you want, if not, use your own.
