Yeah, so this is my second guide ever and this is how I usually play Shen. This is what I normally build, but depending on the other team, it may change. Shen is a great tank and one of the strongest in the game. He can instigate team fights very well and is literally unkillable late game. He is my favourite tank because he is a ninja and I love using him. I hope you find this guide useful.

I take flat armor seals, flat magic resist glyphs, health marks, and health quintessences. I take these to make me more durable early game and have better lane control.

I take 0/21/9 because I'm a tank. I don't take the 15% magic penetration masteries because only one of his skills do magic damage.

I start out with a ruby crystal and build a heart of gold. I follow up with merc treads because they're like the best boots in the game. I rush an aegis of the legion, and depending on how well I'm doing, I get a Guardian angel and a force of nature if the other team is mostly AP. I get a Randui's Omen and thornmail if the other team is heavy on AD and follow up with a sunfire cape last.

I max out vorpal blade first because it is your main source of damage. Spam it as much as possible to harass or to last hit. But be sure to leave some energy for your taunt, because it is one of your best abilities. I leave one rank in feint because it might save your life sometime.

- Great at instigating team fights
- Saves people's lives with his ult
Cons - Doesn't do much damage
- Not that good early game

I take flash and ignite. Flash because I don't have to explain about it. Ignite to pick up some kills and deal more punishment because his damage output is low. Sometimes i may take teleport or ghost, but this is what i usually take.

Last hit with vorpal blade, and your passive should make life easier for you.
