Ability Order
Darkness Rise (PASSIVE)
Mordekaiser Passive Ability
Introduction
Mordekaiser is a tanky mage, and is very flexible between full on tank, burst mage, or somewhere is between. Something that doesn't change whatever build you use is Mordekaiser's ability to push. Laning with a good poker can almost guarantee the turret in 15 minutes.

I take flat magic penetration marks, which is very important on Mordekaiser, so that you can deal more damage, therefore charge a stronger shield.
With flat armor seals, I can tank minion waves early game, and also makes my jungling potential higher.
AP/ level glyphs scale well into late game, giving a large advantage over others by being tanky and having lots of AP.
Flat Health quints are standard for melees, so I take them for Mordekaiser.

I take 21-8-1, having improved ghost and ignite. AP and magic penetration in offense will give high offense, and magic resist and armor in defense.

Standard Build
Regrowth Pendant gives good sustain because Mordekaiser uses health, and a health potion for obvious reasons. Regrowth Pendant also builds into Force of Nature.
Buy boots and a Hextech Revolver as soon as you get back, and maybe some potions.
And here is the finished build. Boots of speed build into Sorcerer's Shoes, Regrowth Pendant builds into Force of Nature, and Hextech Revolver builds into Hextech Gunblade.
What Warmog's?! You noob! That item's only for people that suck!
No! I slap you!Warmog's Armor is awesome for Mordekaiser. He needs the health and health regeneration. He also stacks it up very quickly, giving VERY high health with a medium investment.
Situational Items
