Thank you for taking the time to put all of this information together. It has helped me more than I can describe. Mind you, I'm still getting the hang of Nidalee - working out the kinks. ADCs and squishies think twice about going ahead of the team, farming alone or going remotely near the jungle when I'm around. I even scare myself a little when I gank them so fast and unexpectedly. Those spears/bushwack + Hunted-buffed Pounces. GG. Even saw one flash over a wall the second he stepped on a bushwack. Paranoia is a wonderful weapon.

What the last commenter said is right. Don't chase without vision when there are MIAs. This equals death half the time. I'm guilty of it (like I said, still working out the kinks!)

So thank you again. Mastering Nid isn't easy but this guide has helped so much. The detail is great. Voted.

Loved the guide. I appreciate your attempt to encourage good habits like wise mana usage over building around bad habits. I'm working on a montage of purely this Nidalee build in action (I'll leave the video unmonitized if you want to add it). Also, it doesn't matter if you're in B5 or Plat, inevitably someone gets cocky or desperate and chases to their death (usually ALOT) so please add to the Musing of a League Player a section about DON'T CHASE IF YOU DON'T HAVE VISION AND THERE ARE MIAS... everyone, EVERYONE does it sometimes.

It's good to see so many Nidalee players here :)

I've been playing ONLY Nidalee for a very long time (I probably have 1k games with her). I was used to play her with full red and quints hybrid pen runes and trinity, or full AP. I only reached platinum because I dropped LoL long ago for other business. I came back a month ago and played her full AP. However, I didn't play her since the new changes because in china the patches come with a big delay.

...But when I see this guide I always wonder, why didn't you include Spirit Visage? Now that her base E health is buffed, and that the Healing Summoner Spell is actually a good option, I think it can do a very good combo all together. Obviously, I would fit Spirit Visage taking out the banshee's veil.

I'm just curious. By the way, I prefer blue runes with flat or per level magic resist

Not sure if anyone pointed it out yet but in your pounce description you said killing a minion decreases its cooldown BY 1 second, it actually resets to cooldown TO 1 second :) Other than that, nice guide from a fellow nidalee main.

Why would you ever get that item? Rylai's Crystal Scepter is so useless when playing Nidalee, It gives AP and Health which are "Okay" but the passive is completely useless. You apply it to one target unless you pounce / swipe which cuts the slow in half. You can easily pick up a Rod of Ages if you need to get tanky vs a match up like Yasuo. And second if you pick this up as a non-main item (I.E. replacing Lich Bane, Zhonya's Hourglass, or even a Void Staff then you lose an incredible amount of damage and in the end you lose a large amount of stats.


It's nice of you to think about it like that, but the item itself is nearly useless on a champion like Nidalee.
