Aatrox Lowest threat, has alot of sustain, but also if you go all-in at level 3 you should easily be able to win it and leave him behind.

Kennen Kennen is again, one of the easiest targets to kill, his poke isn't bad, but he's very squishy before he builds Zhonya's Hourglass. Gain couple of kills on him and roam, that will help your team and also keep him down for half of the match.

Personal Introduction

Hi there! ^-^



-tl;dr
Long paragraph about my dramatic life in League.
You don't need to read all this, if so it shall be, move on to the next chapter!-

This lot of writing is all about me and what I did in the past few years I've been playing this game.

My IGN is Pablogero and I play on EU-NE. I'm 14 years old, I'm from Romania - I live in England for the past year and a half or so - (bwahahaha I'm a kid xD) and I started playing this game when Yasuo was released (around the middle of Season 4..?). I reached level 30 in August 2014 and afterwards played my provisionals, won 4 of them (I was really proud of myself at that time, reached Silver 4, won every each game in my division, lost my first series, won the next two, got promoted directly into Silver 2 (le me: omg, omg, I'm in Silver 2, so close to GOLD!!).. Well.. Nope. My other friends hit level 30 so I decided, well. Why not play with them. I lost the next ~150 ranked games in Season 4 and ended up in Silver 5 0 LP. I was so mad at that, but I have had a reason to lose that much. I was flaming and raging way too much.. (cos I'm a kid) In season 5, I played my provisionals, won half of them and I was REALLY surprised to get placed into BRONZE 4. I was so mad.. I was like: I'm not staying here, I swear to God that I'm not letting myself into Bronze. For the next 6 months I desperately played Ranked games.. It was a never-ending vicious cycle. I used to get so mad if I didn't win and also, I played WAY, but WAY too much.. I started choosing League for homework and my parents weren't very happy with it xD (I was then only allowed to play on Fridays and weekends). By the 20th of October I was in Gold 5 and did not give up. I kept playing and finished into Gold 4 100 LP. I'm really looking forward into playing Season 6 properly, everyday again - not as much as inb4 anyway (I want to get to Diamond :3). If you read this you might think 'wow, this guy is such a kid..' I'm probably a kid, but I'm also better than the average and I used to get matched up with Platinum 5's in my past Ranked Games. I play Rengar since level 12 and I can wreck any of my counters. (he was my first 6300 champ, at the moment, I own 22 x 6300 champions and ~80 champs in total)
For the League Championship I support Origen, Mithy and xPeke are from Spain (I love Spain) and they are really good players.

Guide Introduction ~ Pre-Season 6

Hello there!

Welcome to Season 6!



A lot of things have changed along the way, and most of you guys know what everything is about.
Lots of new items have been added and also several ADCarries have been buffed. Item meta and trinkets have changed aswell.

I don't really have a good idea of the new masteries. They are a lot like Season 4-5, the only thing that changes is the way you allocate points. This confused me at the beginning, I didn't really know what I was supposed to point out (I'm still not very sure about it), so that is why for now, I'm not going to talk about it. After I get the hang of it, I will talk about it and maybe change my masteries (which is most likely to happen) xD

Farming



The very first and the best way of gaining gold and (-spoiler alert-) out-farming your opponent is ofcourse farming. I don't even know how to say that xD Out-moneying? XD Out-golding? I suppose (**HOPE**) you figured out what I mean.

Rengar's Q is an awesome farming-tool. Your next basic-attack deals more damage than your normal one. You can also reset your attacks with it, basically just autoattack-Q-autoattack.

If you're an experienced player and you are higher than Gold in elo, you might want to skip this bit of the Chapter too.

Skip this next paragraph if you know the minion spawning system.

There are 4 types of minions in this game, usually, last-hitting makes the difference between two players (and obviously their play-style). There are the caster minions, melee minions, cannon minions and super minions. Caster and melee minions get spawned on every minion wave (3 on each) and once in two waves, a cannon minion is also spawned. If the enemy inhibitor on any lane is destroyed, the allied one spawns 1-2 super minions (wave 1-wave 2 after the destroying the enemy inhib) in addition to the 6 initial minions.

Melee minions get killed by 3 outer/inner turret hits. They are left with very low after 2 turret hits, so basic attacks will kill them.
Caster minions get killed by 2 outer/inner turret hits. After 1 hit, they are not low enough to get killed by you, so there are 2 basic attacks required (usually, as Rengar, you should be able to kill them after the first tower hit with only one basic attack.)
Cannon minions require quite a few turret hits to get killed, so you can just calculate their HP.
NOTE: Turrets deal 25% more damage after each hit, stacking up to a maximum of 125%
-There is no need to talk about Super minions as you can calculate their last hit yourself-

Jungling Path

The jungling path is very strict for Rengar, as he has only got little sustain in early-game. Start where bot-lane leashes you EVERYTIME, no matter if that camp is made of Red or Blue.
Then you can counter-jungle and if no-one is there, then take the camp. For the specified champions it is recommended not to counter-jungle, they are very annoying and you'll end up getting killed yourself.

Skill Sequence


There is not much to talk about Skill Sequence. Max Savagery (Q) first as it's the main damage output. If you find your enemies escaping really easily, consider putting early points in E (Bola Strike) and if you need more sustain, then W (Battle Roar) second.

I would suggest you never start anything like E or W, regardless of your enemy as their early-game damage is not significant at all. Always max Q first, again, regardless the situation, you will get better items by cs-ing eventually. If you're getting denied build the Cull. Great new item, also replaces the old Doran's Blade, it used to have the same passive, but then they changed it to percent life-steal. It's a shame that the creep-score passive does not stack :(

Items

There is also not much to talk about Items either, I have specified most of it in notes. LONG SWORD Everytime, never dodge it. Build Ravenous Hydra as the very first item (I hate that Tiamat's 'Cleave' passive has been removed, it's only applied to Ravenous Hydra) - would like to add~ build Ionian Boots of Lucidity with Homeguard for R>TP combo~ then Lord Dominik's Regards is the best choice generally, or against tanks However, if the enemy team does not show any signs of building tank, then go for Mortal Reminder (Ofcourse you could still stay with Lord Dominik's Regards for greater damage). Youmuu's Ghostblade is a very nice choice for the full armor penetration items. Go for Trinity afterwards for better stability. Get Black Cleaver before Trinity just in the "I'm very fed, doesn't even matter who my enemies are" state. The other ones are situational items, therefore they do not need to replace the initial build. The items to replace are Trinity and Black Cleaver. For example, if there were need to replace the initial build, I would take Maw of Malmortius instead of Black Cleaver for better AA fights. I'd recommend not replacing Trinity, but in emergency cases you could replace it for Sterak's Gage in combo with Maw of Malmortius.

Runes

The runes aren't that complicated. Health for better early-game fights, cool-down reduction for baddass fighting, armor and magic resist because we need flat armor/mr against anyone, armor penetration for more damage on basic attacks and Q and better scaling damage in late-game. I'm rubbish at explaining why those Runes and why those Masteries so.. Yeah.. (I'm not going to make a chapter about Masteries because I don't really know if it's right what I'm saying.)

Pros / Cons

PROS:

+ A good Rengar would know how and when to use advantage of their passive.

+ They would also be able to successfully use their unique resource bar passive in order to kill their enemies.

+ Rengar would only miss couple of E's per match.

+ Dominates lane very easily and puts pressure across the map.

+ Can avoid warded spaces and easily get past defences to kill the carries.

CONS:

- Low sustain in lane.

- Can't use passive/resource bar passive properly.

- Can't land any skill-shots, would easily be dominated in lane, doesn't roam at all.

- Will be easily spotted by pink wards and killed through teamfights.

Spells

Lots of people leave teleport out for ignite. For me, this is not the right thing to do. As the top-laner, you have the responsibility to ward the top part of the river and also hold up your lane. It is very important not to let your tower fall and give the enemy team extra-gold, this will affect your team-mates too! Roaming is also important, so teleport gives you a great advantage against ignite enemies. If you get to kill them, they will fall behind and ignite becomes useless. You need to dominate them, no matter what spells they carry. Ignite is a very powerful spell against champions like Volibear or Dr. Mundo also, but I would not switch it for teleport unless REALLY NEEDED.

Jungle spells:
You need flash for escapes and smtie for objectives. End (no more needed to explain).

Team Work

As I mentioned out in the spells section, you need to make sure that you do not leave your team-mates out of this, you are not alone! You need to protect your ADC and make sure you kill their mid-laner and their ADC. If you do this, you did 40% of the job, and automatically made your team-mates' lives easier xD

It's really easy if you ward their lanes when they need. Roam as much as you can if you don't see any opportunity to win your own lane. Giving an advantage to your mates is really good, you also receive XP (NOTE: Try leaving the kills - only take them if desperately in need of some, otherwise you will look like an a**hole..)

Unique Skills - Combos

Rengar has got loads of mechanics anyone could use. His combos aren't THAT complicated, it's just they require abit of practise to be able to spam them so quickly.
Main combo with full build is - R -> teleport onto a ward/turret whatever, Youmuu's Ghostblade Active > Leap onto ADC > Q > Hydra Active (I usually have it on 2, because then I immediately use E>W) > E > W then anything else left xD

What is usually left out is the Hydra Active, people don't really use it. Use it when you have Tiamat too, it's really important, extra free damage :D

You could work out easy mechanics, when you have 2 ferocity bars, land all the basic spells (Q,W,E) and gain an empowered one.

Those are all of the possible over-wall and juke jumps.
