Frozen heart is subpar to randuins unless u need the cd reduction or the mana, with theese masteries irelia needs neither.

NEVER, EVER USE QUINT OF DESOLATION! They're subpar compared to AD quints in almost every single way.

The reason i use armour quints is because i do not start with cloth armour. U can be harrassed really hard pre-3 when u can't fight back. Therefore i feel like the armour is a necessity. Against weak early laners however AS quints are very good.


Alright I guess I will keep thoughs armor quints into a greater consideration

you should, they really help u much more than any other quints could.
If you do not have armour/mr quints u can ofc go for some attackspeed quints.

+1 taught me something about a champion I thought I knew everything about.

Don't particularly agree with your runes and masteries though. I like to go 9/21 for Hp/5, CDR, movement speed, and last but not least the +3% hp and 10% reduced disable duration.

This gets you anywhere from 45% - 85% tenacity with merc treads and your passive.

Never thought to level my stun before my q before though, been a while since I actually looked at the numbers.

Also FH is insanely op on Irelia when your vs a heavy AD laner. Glacial shroud alone allows you to spam your skills (YOUR W ntm stun and q) a ton faster, while also giving you mana and armor.

It's seriously op. Upgrading to FH feels almost useless unless the AD champions on their team are doing particularly well.

It poops on Garens and the like.

I see why the 21 defence mastery tree is tempting, i just feel that my setup gives you more dominance throughout the lane and midgamephase, which is where most games are won, 21 in defence is definately the better lategame setup but; Win your lane, Win your game.

This is just not true. It stacks multiplicatively not additively. Meaning you take 10% from the remaining non-tenacit'ed. Everything else would be op(think Merc, Passive, Defence tree)(35+40+10=85)
Pretty sure i saw the numbers somewhere with; Mercs+3champions and mastery is 65%. It's still strong as **** though and have been told from other part that i should change this, still considering. I don't like the hp/5 mastery at all.. Most of your sustain comes from passive "w"(mana sustain being much more of an issue imo.)

But think of Wardens mail vs. Glacial Shroud. Especially the slow is awesome(i'm quessing you're talking about rushing a Glacial shroud here) This means that we have no CC apart from our "e". Another plus of wardens mail is that it's waaahaay more useful than FH lategame(imo.) U said yourselves, FH feels almost useless, and unless you're seriously benefitting from the mana from it(or is a support champion) it's fairly useless compared to what a randuins omen would give ya.

Not rushing glacial. Always Phage first. Basically FH/Randuins is between survival or more dmg output.

FH/GS + blue pot allows you to stick to people sooooo hard Q+AA+AA+E+AA+AA+Q+AA+AA+E+AA+AA etc etc ntm your W is coming on in almost half the time that it would be for that insane true damage. It's not a rush this item every game type situation, but it seriously poops on AD lanes/comps.

As for the tenacity thing, I see your logic through the math, but you should try it out sometime. I always feel kinda fuzzy when Amumu ultis my entire team, but I jump and kill their carries before they can get a single member down.

Actually formatting and coding and evreything that has to do with apperance is terrible. No offense, but its terrible. And writing isn't really nice to read also. I don't really agree with your build, but thats not so bad, as its just opinion. About Madred's Bloodrazor(see how i coloured it.. it makes guide look way better and nice :)), itzs problem that you need to pay 3.8k to get the passive on ht effest, as at Wit's End you get it for 2k, making it way more viable at start of game and even later mid game. About Trinity Force, i still think thats an item Irelia should rush or get it in mid game. Wriggle's Lantern- Wit's End- Trinity Force is very effective and i think you should try it out. So yeah, because formatting and stuff is quite bad, i must give an down vote, if i see some improval, ill give you up-vote :)
