I think that this build won't be of much use in the company of experienced opponents. Since you do have a lot of cc from your items, but lack a great bunch of damage output, you'll probably won't be more than a nuisance. Since Innervating Locket was removed anyway, I suggest replacing it with a trinity force, because that will increase your...everything when it comes to offensive power and mobility ^^
You might want to get the mana regen mastery and some mana regen seals, though, if you want to spam your E on everyone. If you dont get any good offensive item in this tank(ish) build, smart players will just ignore you. +1 for sharing with the community :D
Also, you lie you -1'd me :(
not a bad build i +1'd but look at my response to your comment, sir. because your items are equally as expensive almost.
2 things
1 - i +1'd your build because it is extremely viable
2 - the thing about frozen mallet is YES, it gives you all of the bonus health, but i STILL get a phage and triforce. Now think of irelia's strengths.
- mobility, burst/consistent damage
well...
burst: sheen proc (120%)
mobility: offers speed
Consistent Damage: Small amount of AD, slows, attack speed AND crit chance
now look @ her weaknesses
- Squishy
- Vulnerable to CC
well, triforce Fulfills all of her strengths while helping fix the problem of her being squishy. You have merc treads for CC and randuins for more health, on a health note you should be FINE
NOW FOR FARMING! :)
You should always be farming, always. Using your ult to ultimate creep waves, etc. In a high elo each creep usually has a fight behind it.
You are correct in saying that getting the entire build is extremely difficult, but i often get my randuins, which is past triforce AND I.E. (talking 35-45 min games).
Maybe you aren't going for kills and assists?
i mean those 3 items plus your boots run you about..8300g.. give or take a hundred or so.
each creep kill gives you 20-30, lets average at 25. that of course is 300+ creep kills.. which is completely abnormal. but dont forget, you get 1 gold per second at the start of the game.. so 35 mins into the game... minus the 1.5 min start so, 33.5 mins in, you already have 2010 gold. so narrow the gold you need down to about 6290. Then say you got dragon, at LEAST twice. that is another 250 off. so 6040 gold.
now say you have gotten, 5-10 champ kills, so average at 7, give you the advantage.7 kills averaging at 300g each is about 2100 total
6040-2100 = 3940
which when divided by 25g for creeps, that is 157 creeps.
That is an extremely reasonable and viable amount and i want to assume you can do that.
that is all.

Oh also, I wanted to add that Blue Buff maxes cdr in this build.
