Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello there, I'm Soul, and your most likely reading this to see how I build Irelia! She is quite new to me, but stole my heart. After reading many guides, I decided to figure out how to build this babe into a tanky-sexy-blade controlling-death machine that will dominate on solo top!
~Sorry for my lack of knowledge on making a guide, I'm still quite new to this.~
Greater Mark of Lethality
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed
I find the best marks for Irelia are desolation! They allow you to hit even harder in the beginning which in the end = profit!
The best suited roles for seals are flat armor, as they add to your early game survivability!
The best suited glyphs are also defensive, and those are flat magic resist, as they also add to your early game suvivability!
And finally, the best quints for Irelia in my oppinion are movement, because with your boots, masteries and these quints, you'll be zipping around the damn map!
I find starting out with Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion, as it'll let you survive for a long *** time if played nicely.
At your first recall, you should hopefully have around 1600+ so you can get yourself a nice Philospher's Stone, Heart of Gold and Boots of Speed. These items should keep you in lane for a very long time.
AT your next recall, you should start going for your Mercury Treads and Trinity Force, starting with a Sheen, then your Mercury Treads, going for Phage, then a Zeal. After that, your should be hitting quite hard, and should be able to handle most kinds of CC quite nicely.
After your Trinity Force, start going for a Warmog's Armor, which will give your the tanky-ness everyone dreams about. After you MASSIVE amount of HP you get for that lovely peice of equipment, why not keep it up with a Force of Nature, again giving your alot more survivability!
Your almost done here. If your game is still going or your just demoliting your opponents, sell your Philosopher's Stone or Heart of Gold and get Atma's Impaler, and then Guardian Angel. Once your all done, you should never be dying, and always getting kills, or kill-secures ;)
I find the best masteries for Irelia go like this:
As for the 9 mastery points left, I find going into offense, and getting the crit chance, cooldown reduction and spell pen works great for some damage output.
Starting out with will allow for easy minion kills. Getting will allow for a simple early-game burst damage, which can hit quite a bit. At level 3, get Hitten Style so you can deal true damage and heal every hit!
This is about it, you should be able to play Irelia to her fullest (in my opinion of course). You should be able to take damage, and be able to dish it out!
Tell me watcha' think, so I can improve my futur ones!
