This is my first build so please rate fairly. This build is mostly for soloing top and dominating.

I Chose these rune for quick damage and survivability in team fights. These runes also allow to solo anyone due to the life steal and Hiten style. These also allow for farming early game so you can get your health back quick or stay in your lane longer.

I went for 21/0/9 for less time dead and better attack. The masteries in attack are very good when facing an opponent with a much larger health quantity than you. When used with abilities properly She can be deadly.

Ignite and Exhaust I believe are the best spells for Irelia because of her incredible attack speed exhaust will just rip the enemy apart. Ignite is really only for early game to secure kills. Enemy on low health? No problem, just ignite and Bladesurge forward.

Flash: Can take it but doesnt really give anything but a good escaping technique

Ghost: Dont need the speed your already fast with Berserker's greaves and phantom dancer

Promote: Due to the kills and minion killing skills of Irelia you wont need the pushing power of a Promoted minion

Heal: Come on Hiten style plus life steal were's heal gonna fit in?

Revive: If your dieing that much.....just get a warmogs or something. Remember you can do whatever you want with this build.....EXCEPT COPY IT.

Clarity: Leave that to the supports

Smite: Your not jungling until you get bloodthirster and by then you Dont need smite

I Chose this skill sequence so that i can harass but not die at the same time. whenever there is an opponent farming just Bladesurge then run back. Hiten style is really useful mid game in team fight because if you get low health run away kill wraiths or wolves and you should be full health again.

Try to be aggressive without trying to get kills. Harass but try not to die, when you hit level 3 you can try to get a kill because you have a slow and damage ability. Only do so if:
Your team mate in the same lane is cooperative with you, You are confident that you can kill the opponent and/or you have ignite and exhaust ready to use. Just plow through the minions and try to get gold while trying not to die
