Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
About the build
Mikenike29 here, for those of you who want lots of lane sustain, tank all of the other team, and do some damage all the while, this is the build for you! First of all, i recommend that singed be the solo top but it is not necessary. This is a late game build so sometimes having a support next to you in a 2v2 can help.
I personally prefer to have a good start especially since this is a late game build which is why i chose to have runes that give me bonuses at the start rather than per level ones. This is based more on preference and can be switched out. Also, if you decide that you would rather be able to help more in team fights by catching people then you can trade out the ap runes of movement speed ones.
The reason i start with dorans shield rather then rushing boots like other builds do is because it gives him more lane sustain in his solo top and you probably arnt going to be needing a lot of movement speed in lane with tank singed unless you actually have the muscle to back it up. Force of Nature and Sunfire Cape can be purchased in whichever order you prefer but i do suggest both of them since Force gives you movement speed, health regen ,and the all important magic resist and Sunfire gives health and armor which also help him tank. Warmogs is esentially a mix of these two with more hp and health regen. The will of the ancients is more like the icing on the cake becuase you will be running away and in front of a lot of enemies so while you do this you get healed and do more damage at the same time.
Possible item substitutions-
Rylais crystal scepterfor warmogs- gives slow which does help significantly but it doesnt help as much in the tank category.
Thorn mail for sunfire cape- Thornmail is great if you are against a lot of people who auto-attack like trynd or vayne but i liek the hp that sunfire gives.
Rabadons Deathcap for will of Ancients- I occasionally do this substitution if i feel like helping my team more in the damage department but i like running away and then being able to turn because your healing a lot as they are dying from your poison.
The biggest question i think everyone has is why poison trail rather than fling at the start. The reason behind this is that singed has no point to fling anyone at lvl 1 unless they are next to tower. He has no damage to back his fling up with so instead i like poison trail which helps him farm to get to lvl 2. Leveling fling or the adhesive trail after the initial ones are more preferences, i prefer the fling so it does some damage and it comes up quicker and i can already catch them with my overwhelming speed and if i need to i can ghost to them.
